Obviously, there are changes we would all like to see in some form. Regardless, this is a day one purchase for me every single year.

We really need an international draft in the GM mode. Diamond Dynasty needs to be more like EA's Ultimate Team mode in the EA sports games, and there needs to be more league diversity. For example, EA NHL has a bunch of different professional Hockey leagues in their game. Why can't we get more pro baseball leagues? There are plenty of spanish leagues, plenty of independent leagues and a ton of Asian leagues. This would add a ton of diversity to the game.
I would also love to see a more in depth trading system (ie, the ability to trade more than 3 players per team, the ability to have multiteam trades, counter offers, and the ability to trade cash)

I'd settle for just more minor-league levels.

Same goes for me. The last Show I had before 14 was 12. 14 on the PS4 has blown me away. I have no complaints at all.

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase

I haven't went to the PS4 - and I don't know if they'll have another year on the PS3, and even if they do - will they update the game at all?

So with that in the air...the answers could change, but generally the are as follows:

              1. I pre-order the game each year. I probably will again. This is the only sports game I regularly play.

              2. Despite it not being real life, it's a very beautiful game. I'm amazed at the little things each year.

              3. I LOVE the editor of faces and such and the fact they took the time to add in the mannerisms of historic players (Yaz to Sosa to Bonds to Rickey Henderson, etc etc) Amazing. I love that we can bring back those players.
I wouldn't want to lose this.

              4. Because of the aforementioned ability to involve the gamer to customize their game - I'd like to see and I believe they might - but allow us to know exactly how the ratings affect the statistics. Is there a way to get a guy who has 135 BB again? or even 80 SB? Without working over every single game to try to get there. A better gameplan to get the stats to play one way or another.

              4. A way to save down the stats that are already in the game. You actually see them post WAR for 2013 (Trout had 9.1 WAR, so not bWAR or fWAR, but either way). They also have tons of Sabermetric like stats if you scroll to the right to other situational statistics. It's awesome, however, I'd love a way to save down that 'cache' or whatever it is and have PLAYER CARDS that'd have the basics plus OBP, SLG, OPS, and maybe OPS+, WAR, and a slot for XML like feed of things like "MVP, All-STAR, GG, etc"
              5. Ways to sort by statistics or Rating by position and other attributes - the player search is a good tool - but you have to go back and forth - you can't start a trade or edit a player from that screen. That's arguably the best way to rate players by position within the context of their own position.

              6. From there, increased building upon what they have - e.g. Filling out the class A or A+ teams as playable and small improvements to throwing motions, fielding animations, pitch effectiveness, etc.
              NBA: Minnesota Timberwolves
              MLB: Minnesota Twins
              NFL: Minnesota Vikings

MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase

My MLB 15 The Show Wishlist

Besides the ones above which I agree with...

                1. Retractable roof stadium need to have an option of open or closed it feels too weird have some open or raining in Miami (which most of their games in real life is closed). Plus it makes a difference the ball carries in certain parks or the noise level gets amplified. Make it an option for it to be open or close. Retractable Roof Stadiums: Toronto, Houston, Seattle, Miami, Milwaukee, Arizona.

                2. Throwback Stadiums like Yankee Stadium I or II, etc...

                3. Montréal Expos throwback jerseys added to Washington's history, etc...

                4. Real up to date jerseys some jerseys are still missing like the mets white jersey and some unnecessary the black jersey. Also patches for the jersey during the season to honor a player or contributor like Jerry Coleman, Ralph Kiner, etc.

                5. For the All-Star Game wear their actual jerseys not the workout day ones, that should be saved for the derby and the authentic All-Star Workout ones should be DLC. Also the MLB All-Star Hats should be DLC. Also 9-11, July 4th (July 1st in Canada), Memorial Day, Jackie Robinson, Mother's and Father's Day tributes on the jerseys and during the game if possible.

                6. Mother's Day pink bats and breast cancer tribute patch. Father's Day prostate cancer tribute patch.

                7. 9-11 and Memorial Day special army uniforms in the lettering of the jersey. (Of course the padres, reds and mets have military themed jerseys already as well).

                8. Red Blue Jays jersey for Canada Day

                9. Boston jersey with the Boston Strong patch for Patriots Day.

                10. Proper Playoff Seeding for the playoffs and an option to decide homefield for the World Series or even by record (that part in franchise mode or postseason mode)

                11. MLB Posteason patch for teams in the postseason in their jerseys and hats. World Series patch in jerseys and hats if team makes the Series.

                12. Sounds of the Show a must buy or it's no purchase at all until it's implemented in. Too many people got mp3s and also the feel of the stadium is not the same.

                13. Presentation styles from MLB Network or maybe FOX or FS1 or Sportsnet (in Canada) could be added. Since ESPN is with EA. TNT with NBA 2K.

                14. Added presentation, also when the pitcher goes warm up to the mound before the first pitch his music start up. Example: C.C. Sabathia big poppa. Also after first pitch bald Vinny says hey yo, then the roll call like in real life.

                15. Other presentations Indian drum, etc... Flyovers. Ceremonial first pitch if it is a big game or opening day

                16. Commissioner Manfred to hand to World Series trophy to Champions and World Series MVP. Also to hand All-Star Game MVP and HR Derby Champion.

                17. Authentic All-Star Game rosters as DLC. After Season Awards, not only to ones done by the writers (NL/AL MVP, Cy Young, Manager of the Year, ROY, reliever of the year) but also a players choice awards selected by the players themselves. Also a fan vote for the winners as well.

                18. Manager choose the All-Star rosters in franchise mode as long as every team is represented. Final vote decided by fans.

                19. Intentional Talk for comic relief (similar to Men in Blazers in the FIFA games). Quick Pitch or MLB Tonight for pre and post game.

                20. Local announcers (could be interesting) or different announcers on for tv and an alternate feed for radio and one for Spanish (since it's a growing demographic here in the US, French in Canada as well, similar to FIFA as well make it an option)

Nothing for me, I love MLB 14 so much so that I wont be buying 15 or even 16 (at least I dont see myself doing it at this point)

Changes wont do anything for me, Im very particular in what I play while playing so adding game modes or adjusting RTTS does nothing for me.

With the announcement this year that rosters carry over the community has been flat out amazing at making a ton of rosters and this is what I play the majority of the time. Now I know that after awhile 14 wont be supported anymore but I have about 40 rosters right now of all various seasons and a ton of misc stuff that would keep me going for years. After adjusting and working on my own slider set to fit the difficulties I play on Im seeing a ton of realistic gameplay (plenty of bloop singles, line drive doubles etc) and with all of this I see no reason and nothing that SCEA could do to get another $60 out of me when all things considered I feel the community makes the game better each year not SCEA

I'm pretty sure this will be a first day purchase for me.

I wasn't really expecting very much from this year with the transition to the new console. I'm giving SCEA a pass on this one. I'm still enjoying the game, but I definitely do not scrutinize like some guys do.

I will be quite disappointed however if next year is not a significant upgrade.

One thing that's irked me. Since there is only two swing types, and they're exactly the same until a point, why limit the No-Doubt HR things? Why not have a drop down menu for each side that has all the possible swings to pick from, rather than "default" and Style 1-6? Seems reasonable enough. It also would be nice because most of the generic Dinger swings are really bad.

Improve the presentation I can't stand Matty V and the commentators maybe bring in a few new faces. Keep Matty V around to maybe do a pregame show breaking down the match ups and the teams and what's happening around the league (Trades, Injuries, highlights, prospects etc.) I could see this working well in Franchise mode just don't make him do the commentary it's painful.
Like many people have said in this thread put some life into RTTS give us press conferences at least. There should be a difference between the minors and the majors. In the minors there should be the newspaper and if you are having a good couple of games they mention you.
Once you get to the show there should be a better way to know what's happening around the league maybe include something like MLB.com. If you are making a big name around the league you should be getting press conferences not all the time but once every couple of games or if you win player of the game.
Also money should have some value maybe spend it on a fitness program that gives you a bonus or let us buy drills with our money.

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase

Let me say that this is going to be a day one purchase again for me this year. I'm looking forward to the refinements that will be in the next version.

                          That being said, please improve

                          1) The animations for fielding and throwing the ball as an infielder. I literally freak out every time the ball is hit on the ground to one of my infielders because no matter what I do, I don't know how they are going to react to my attempt to throw to a base. Getting a double play is ridiculous. Infield hits because the ball is hit to my SS and he won't throw the ball remind me of World Series baseball circa sega genesis!

                          2) Outfielders and their lackidaisical running for fly balls -- been in the series for years.

                          3) Improve player models, they are old and dated.

                          4) Continue to improve the stadiums, the look of the infields, grass etc. and tailor them to the real deal.

                          5) Simulated pitching stats. I really notice this one because I FF my team pitching a lot. It's not realistic when the team you use has a top 5 ERA in MLB but gets pounded when you FF the pitching.

                          6) Really dial in the uniforms this year. Make them perfect! That shouldn't be too hard. Case in point the front of the Dodger jersey in game vs. actual, the numeral on the front is just wrong.

                          7) Continue to improve the lighting for night games, they are better, but still not there.

                          8) Shadowing should be real and per stadium, in the spring and summer a Sunday game has actually very little shadowing at Dodger stadium. It most certainly isn't half in shadow by the mid to late
                          innings.

                          9) Soft hits. Every game I watch in MLB, there are hits over the heads of the infielders. In the show, rarely will I see this or sliders have to be adjusted.

10)Balls hit to the corner outfielders don't have enough force and rarely result in extra base hits.

                          11) One last thing. Outfielder depth and size of outfield just don't seem right. Outfielders play half way when a power hitter is up and are on every base hit within a couple of bounces making it next to impossible to go first to third.

I'm getting the impression that this is becoming a general "wishlist" thread. With that in mind, one thing I would like to see is: throwback pullover jerseys not have buttons on the front. MVP Baseball 2004 and 2005 got this right on PS2, so I don't think they couldn't do it on PS4.

I'll buy it regardless (unless the game somehow regresses) but my top pet peeves are:

                              1. Corner play -- Too many routine balls get by the corner infielders, and 1B seem incapable of fielding a throw on a hop. Right now corner infielders are generally playing on a high school level instead of mirroring what we see in MLB.

                              2. Pick-offs -- There are too many wild throws (and all of them go into the stands unless the game is in Oakland), as well as too many successful pick-offs. Both sides of it need re-tuning. It wouldn't hurt to make the errors that do occur have some variety, too, instead of always sailing over the 1B the same way.

                              3. Busch Stadium -- This stadium is still ugly and a poor representation of the real life version. The backstop area needs to be redone and the player pictures on the outfield wall need some re-thinking. For one, you end up in situations where one of the players is no longer with the team in real life (as with Allen Craig this year, although apparently the artist thought his name is Craig Allen), not to mention movement in franchise and RTTS games. Besides that, some of the players are in their away uniforms, and there's just no consistency in the pictures. It's a real eye sore. While I hate to invoke the other game (RIP) one of the few things I thought they did right was putting the retired numbers on the wall instead of using other images in their place.

Honorable Mention: Find and fix the double-switch bug that causes the new pitcher to have diminished energy and confidence. I've reported it in the bug threads the last four years or so, but didn't bother this year thinking that I'd wait until I had really nailed down the circumstances where it happens. I *think* it happens whenever the pitcher is moved into the spot of the last position player who batted for your team, but I'm only 95% sure.

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase

Seeing as I only played the PS3 version. Some things I would like.

Ability to relocate or even expand. And if I relocate it changes around the divisions. For instance if I move the Rays to Las Vegas, I shouldn't be playing in the AL East. I should be in the West. Or in Madden I took Carolina Panthers and moved them to Toronto and they stayed in the South division. Doesn't make any sense.

Fix progression for older players. If I'm the Sox and Big Papi is a great year he shouldn't be losing 20 pts over the season.

Also better trade logic. I don't want to do 30 team control in order to have good trades.

Also give me some international FAs. Even if they are generic created guys. But give us like 1 or 2 from anywhere. But the majority should be from Japan and Cuba via a third country.

                                Ability to create/edit draft classes.

Budget issue that everyone talks about.

Actual MLB contracts. If this can't be done can someone tell me why? This blows my mind. Like in 2014 Lackey still made millions of dollars but in the game he only made like 500K. Give options on contracts. Ortiz is an example he has like 3 options on his current contract make them options in the game.

Give me owner mode back. Meaning the franchise where you sell items and whatever money you make during the year is your budget for the offseason kinda like Madden. But keep regular franchise for those who want that. Or you can make franchise like Madden where you can choose what you want to be before you start. Like GM, Coach, Owner. And if you are coach you only get to manage the team you are given by your GM and Owner. And GM and Owner you get to do everything.

Allow play in A ball. Like everyone says I shouldn't have my first round pick starting his career in AA riding the bench for most of the season.

Create a stance and delivery. Don't if this at all possible but would be cool if you actually could.
