That's definitely something that should be added then. I honestly can't believe that there's a baseball game as good as The Show that doesn't offer that ability.NFL: Bills

[QUOTE=Mrmagoo;2046503184]Sadly I'll probably be passing on anymore show yearly purchases, I have bought the show since 07.
For me and it's been mentioned before also but franchise is DRY, unattached, no man's land, feel like I'm stuck on an island in the middle of the ocean... Yadda yadda yadda.. You get the picture, same with rtts.
Personally I'm surprised I have bought it this many years in a row. My major gripe you ask? Stats!!!
I'll say it again, I am dumbfounded that a game with this much detail just utterly fails at Stat tracking. Yes I know it couldn't be done with the game on the ps3 without a total rewrite of the code. (I may have misstated that, if so I apologize) now I have my own theory on that reason. Either way it is just ridiculous to me!!!
Obviously there's many good ideas out there on how they can raise their game when it comes to franchise and rtts, but for me I won't even consider buying anymore until there are a full assortment of stats tracked and saved year to year AND presented in a reasonable fashion and sorted much more efficiently.
Unfortunately I have my doubts this will happen anytime soon, but time will tell and I will stay on the sidelines until that happens.[/QU
Yes......stat tracking has been lacking in The Show series. I also hope both franchise options have the same features next year.Comment

Being able to simply see a player's stats goes a long ways in any franchise mode, and with baseball, a sport that relies on statistics moreso than probably any other sport, it's even more important.NFL: Bills

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
I keep saying "oh this would be good too" but I think I got the 3 things I would love to have. Ofc I'm a release day buyer no matter what but if they add these features it would be really cool:
1. Weekly wrap up(more info on 1-2 pages before this)
2. Playable A ball - to expand on this it would please me so much if they could add a 40 round draft and added in rookie ball, A advanced.. But even expanding the draft to like 12-15 rounds with just A ball would be great for me.
3. JAPANEESE/CUBAN PLAYERS - luckily I figured out a way to manually do this but it is not as good as the show would probably make it(if your wondering I can shoot you a PM).. If they could just randomize this and maybe have 0-3 Cuban/JAPANEESE players an offseason with there stats and what contract they want it would be great.. Haven't seen many people say this so I thought I would.
Either way im a day 1 buyerComment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
I'll be picking up '15 regardless so technically nothing needs to change for me I guess
However I would like to see franchise get some love, specifically in areas that don't involve the major league team. Its about time we got stuff like performance based promotions, IFA's, organizational tendencies, etc.
I feel like the gameplay has improved every year and I've had a blast in all three phases of the game for the first time in forever, but of course there's always room for improvement.
Looking forward to next years game, player files better be transferable thoughBakin' soda, I got bakin' sodaComment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
Still playing on a PS3 but I love the game as it is. After putting in many hours of play though there are a couple of things.
Biggest thing is lack of anything lower than double AA. With my Twins franchise the minors are great so far for me but there are players that should not be playing Double or Triple AAA baseball. They should be in A or Short Season A. I think many players could gain experience in franchise mode by gradually rising through the ranks. Personally it makes no sense why I have 18 year olds playing on a Double AA team after they're drafted. It's just too high. Plus I live in the NY-Penn League area and I love going to rivalry games like the SI Yankees v. Brooklyn Cyclones or Vermont Lake Monsters v. Hudson Valley Renegades. It just adds so many dimensions to the franchise mode (playable fun, more realistic prospect progression through the ranks, deeper farm system to draw from instead of looking for trades or FA's.) I've never understood why they couldn't add these in either (even if they made up players and then the community could edit the teams through roster updates) since games like NHL 15 features at least 8 or 9 different full leagues besides the NHL. Sony even has the licensing from MiLB. I just don't get it.
Second thing is that the commentary is horrible. I mute it. I'm not asking for much in this regard but MLB 2k had some of the best commentary ever. They named players, looked up schedules of games to come, talked about previous match ups from past games. In this, you're lucky if the game announces your players name. Ive had a lot of games (with established players like Andre Either or Derek Jeter) where they've referred to him as "Their next hitter will come up to the plate" or "#2 is getting ready to bat). Also there should be smarter commentary. Once a runner stole second w/ two outs and the game said "Well there goes the double play". Another time it announced a home run on an RBI single. The announcement mistakes are few and far between but it takes something out of the game.
Lastly are uniforms. Really minor (and petty i know) but some teams don't have their uniforms in the game correctly. Like the Mets have been wearing blue jerseys for a while but they aren't in the game.
Other than that it's an extremely good game. But if those things aren't fixed I probably won't buy MLB 15 unless I get a PS4 for myself which is doubtfulComment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
Just like any other MLB The Show product I already intend on purchasing MLB 15 The Show and already can't wait for it to come out. With that said of course there are things I'd love to see as I want the best baseball game available to keep getting better.
First things first: This game is advertised by MLB it's an MLB & MiLB product so I wish the MLB Players Association would work with the developers so we can see more MiLB players from day 1 and not have to wait for weekly roster updates.
Secondly: The player regression in Franchise Mode is overblown. I have pretty much stopped playing Franchise Mode because of this. Over the course of a season I understand a 40yr old player regressing 10 points but 20+ points in one season is a bit much. The same goes for almost any player of the age of 32 which I don't understand.
Thirdly: Player Ratings... I am not really sure how player ratings work but I would hope that a player's minor league statistics play in to his overall rating when the player has less than 3yrs MLB service time. *If anyone can explain to me what they use for their ratings system I'd really like to hear about it since I do not know how this is determined.
I love the gameplay in 2014 but eagerly await to see how 2015 will be better!Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
On ...in throw cut-offs.....
I would say this is something they want to put in...and have tinkered with in development.....but the balance of player animations to retrieve throws that aren't perfectly in line with the 3(+) players involved and the "zone"(for lack of a better term) that they need to have in place for the ball to be in play for a cut off mid throw was something they weren't happy with.
For instance...I seem to remember someone with the dev team saying that a ball in mid air taking a sudden turn left/right to be cut off was far to frequent with the current animations.
I think it's the player animations to get in place to cut off the throw that are the main addition..and not an actual cut off throw button....that is larger factor of this not being in yet.
With a pre-throw cut-off button already in place...I think it just became a back burner thing.
I would like to see it happen though.

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
I've said this so many times but I'll say it again here. One thing that I would love to see is a "Classic Franchise" option. Basically I want to be able to start a franchise in any year of the modern era. I've always used Franchise mode to create a team of myself and several other friends, but as I'm no longer at an age that one would be beginning a career, it's preventing me from purchasing the game. And along with that, customized leagues/divisions/team names/minor league affiliates/playoff structure (it would be even more epic if we could download classic team logos/throwbacks/stadiums/team names, etc.).
I mentioned this in another thread and I wanted to see what you guys thought of it. I'd like to be able to have some kind of jersey creator or editor in the same mold as the one in Diamond Dynasty. There have been a lot of times where I've thought a team would look better if they made small tweaks in their jerseys. I've always wanted to see the Orioles wear orange undershirts/socks and the Rockies wear purples undershirts/socks, the Rangers put their team name back on their home jerseys, among many others. Ideally this would include every single wordmark, logo, patch, striping pattern, name/number font, and cap pattern that every team has ever used since the beginning of the modern era and allow the player to change the colors. It would slightly add to the realism of the fact that teams do change their uniforms on occasion. This could apply to minor-league teams as well. Is there any way they'd be allowed to do this?
-Advanced A-league, Short-Season A-League, Rookie A-League, CGL, AZL, DSL, VSL
-I want to be able to choose what batting helmet the team wears
-Being able to have more "set" line-ups so that, if you're simming, and the computer decides that a player needs a day off, it chooses a line-up that doesn't have that player in it
-Stadium select be available in franchise mode
-Being able to simulate individual at-bats in a game
-Being able to use special characters (apostrophes, dashes, letters with accent marks) and spaces in create-a-player
-I haven't bought the game since MLB 09 on PS2, so maybe this has been fixed, but on that game if I put a player on the 15-or-60-day DL, I had to put him back on the DL if his 15 or 60 days were done and he was still hurt. I would like to be able to just keep him on the DL until he's recovered.
-The return of "Sounds of the Show"
-An option to turn off the wildcard play-in game

Re: MLB 15 The Show: What needs to change in order for you to purchase
Good to know, although those first two are the ones I really want. Does anyone think that any of the things I mentioned can be included? I seem to bring up a lot and don't seem to hear about it from anyone. Are they going to have to negotiate to get stuff like that in the game?
