    Analog hitting questions

I've been experimenting with a bunch of batting stances to get one that I'm really comfortable with, and I've stumbled upon a few things.

    1. Does the "stride" info on the previous pitch really matter? For some strides(one with a big bat 'flick' for example) don't want you to use the entire animation, while some stances get better contact despite being late(legend 68)

    2. plenty of stances don't have the traits that are used with the actual player(Aoki) when used on custom players. I kind of wonder why

    3. Is there a way to control the general location of the hitting ring, without using zone?

    Re: Analog hitting questions

I believe the stride info matters. I've noticed the ball drive better when my stride is on point. Just early strides in this year's game seem to be okay, though.

With big leg kick strides, you wanna time it so that at the peak of the kick you start the swing. I tried getting the whole stride in before the swing but I would get a lot of off stride or early remarks.

Your PCI will move based on the direction of the stick you push. If you have a leftie & the pitch is outside & you try to pull it, when you get your post swing analysis back you will see that you either pulled off your swing or your swing was inside. The most trouble I have is hitting sliders low in the zone without guessing location down there. I always seem to swing over the top of them.

Maybe RTTS batting practice(the one with scenarios, not pregame) give different results, as when I'm 'just late' I have a massive ring, and make tremendous contact, but 'good' or 'perfect' don't seem to be a whole lot better, if not worse

I honestly couldn't tell ya cause I haven't done RTTS, but as long as you're getting just early or just late you'll be fine.

from what I remember, there is thread around here that suggested there may be a lag issue with the ds4 and the game causing delays for analog hitters..you could try moving the stride slider all the way to the right to make the window bigger. it made a big difference for me and I am still late getting to fastballs a lot.. but I'm old so yeah take that part for what it is worth lol
