Re: Sounds of the Show Feedback

Do you use Sound of the Show? If so, how extensively? (anywhere from assigning just your created player’s walkup music to assigning all Music and/or Yell and Chant categories for all players and teams)
I use SOTS all the time not only for my main team that I use but all the other teams to make it more real. I use all the slots including player walk ups and chants.

Do you find the Playlist Creator intuitive and easy to use?
    Yes.

How easy or difficult is the Music Editor to use?
I use my own music editor and then upload to the Playstation.

Do you record custom yells and/or chants? Do you import other yell and chant audio files?
I import other chants and yells.

Are there additional Music or Yell/Chant categories that you’d like to see for Players or Teams?
I would like to see a slot for when the team takes the field. Can use an intro song or a clip of the teams PA saying "Your Texas Rangers".
One or two more slots for RBI and Base Hits.
Maybe an actual slot or slots for organ and claps. So you can use the Chants for actual chants.

What changes or improvements would you like to see for this feature?
I would like to see the sound be better or louder for the clips that are used.
The Rangers use Base Hits songs but also use the Players walk up music when they get a hit. That would be cool under the player walk up slot.
Get the great Chuck Morgan to do PA for the game.

Do you use Sound of the Show? Yes, please bring this back, game is not the same without it.

If so, how extensively? (anywhere from assigning just your created player’s walkup music to assigning all Music and/or Yell and Chant categories for all players and teams) I use it for everything you guys offer for this feature, all players, pitchers, but need more room in jukebox, so we don't have to clip 3 songs together. Inning music, sometimes wish it was just a bit longer.

Do you find the Playlist Creator intuitive and easy to use? Yes

How easy or difficult is the Music Editor to use? It's ok, gets the job done.

Do you record custom yells and/or chants? Do you import other yell and chant audio files? I don't record yells and chants, but I have imported some.

Are there additional Music or Yell/Chant categories that you’d like to see for Players or Teams? More spaces for run scored

What changes or improvements would you like to see for this feature? The one problem is when we import our music we still hear the game music, like on home runs, I think that's the one, I know this problem was with I think 2013, so the games home run chimes are going on, while our imported music plays on top. Also, maybe turn the volume up a little, batter walk up can be hard to hear sometimes. One other thing that might be cool, I don't know how hard this would be to do, but if we could just have a playlist, and have batter music just pulled from that list randomly, without assigning it to a certain player.

Re: Sounds of the Show Feedback

I assign music to the players on my roster from season to season. I also assign between innings music to my team and other popular, team specific songs for when I visit their stadiums. (Sweet Caroline, Thank God I'm a Country Boy, etc.)

Do you find the Playlist Creator intuitive and easy to use?
It's very easy to use. It's also very quick, unlike NHL 12, which takes forever to navigate through the menus.

How easy or difficult is the Music Editor to use?
I find it easy to use. Although, it did take some time getting to learn how it worked. It could probably be improved upon.

Do you record custom yells and/or chants? Do you import other yell and chant audio files?
No. But after reading this question, I might give it another go.

Are there additional Music or Yell/Chant categories that you’d like to see for
        Players or Teams?

We should have a Break in Play slot. Going along with the playlist idea (below), this could play random songs during foul balls, in between pitches, and other lulls in the action. Along with this, maybe we could have an organ music BIP category.

There should also be a slider as to how often we hear normal music played as to organ music. Like with the Cardinals, I would set the slider at 50/50, normal vs. organ music. Other teams probably have a different ratio, but 50/50 is about right for St. Louis. If we don't have any organ music in our organ music slot, the game could use the same ratio, just with the default organ music already in the game.

A mound visit category, whether by the catcher, pitching coach, or manager, would be a good idea. Think of the Final Jeopardy! jingle.

It would be cool to have a National Anthem slot. After Mike Carlucci introduces the home team and when the slot has a song assigned to it, the game would show the visitors standing in front of the dugout and the home team out on the field for as long as the clip will play. Afterwards, the crowd would cheer and the game would go directly into the starting pitcher's warmup.

What changes or improvements would you like to see for this feature?
We need to have the ability to assign a playlist to any category, like in NBA 2K and NHL. For example, we could just create a 250 song playlist in the XMB and assign it to the End of 1st inning slot. Whenever that situation comes up, the game randomly picks a song off the playlist to play. This way, we could have multiple home run, walk, strikeout, hits, runs scored, and team entrance songs. This would also us to have more categories instead of multiples of the same thing.

          5. Separate hit sounds for doubles & triples, double plays, called/swinging Ks.

          • 6. Put pre-game themes back to playing throughout the intro & during home P's warmup if he doesn't have a song assigned. If the P has a song assigned, then have it play when the commentary introduces him.
          • Don't have the inning intermissions fade out when the broadcast does (or give us an toggle option).
          • Allow random selecting of songs from an XMB playlist for various events (walks, HRs, Ks, errors, foul balls).
          • Put win/loss back to playing through and not stopping/starting over after Player of the Game segment.
          • Allow assigning a song to multiple/all teams at once.
          • Fix songs not sticking for certain teams (all revert to default after turning game off, this has happened since '10 for NEW minor teams after they relocate - Richmond Flying Squirrels (previously Connecticut Defenders) in '10, Pensacola Blue Wahoos (previously Carolina Mudcats) in '12 & '13, El Paso Chihuahuas (previously Tucson Padres) in '14; Huntsville Stars will be in Biloxi next season, new name TBD).
          • Extend list to infinite. Currently the limit is 499 for Jukebox/In-Game Cues combined, can that be uncombined?
          • Volume control - Could barely hear some of them in '13 & '14.

These are all I can think of at this time, will edit/add more if anything else comes to mind.
          1) Yes, I assign every player their 3 at-bat songs, and assign every team, team music...This goes for both Major, and Minor League teams...Setting up my music is always the first thing I do before I even bother to play an actual game.

          6) Would love to see an option to have the Team music override the next batter's song...(i.e. 2nd place hitter in the lineup gets a hit, let the Team Hit Song continue playing until the next pitch, and do not play the 3rd place hitter's at-bat song....To me it sounds choppy, when the Team song only plays for a short amount of time)...You guys had it setup this way in 14 for RBI, and Homers and it sounded so much smoother when the Team song would just continue playing until the next pitch of the game.

          Plus....
Everything the guy I have quoted said...I will edit my post later, but the reason I play MLB is for Sounds of Show!

            • Do you use Sound of the Show? If so, how extensively? (anywhere from assigning just your created player’s walkup music to assigning all Music and/or Yell and Chant categories for all players and teams) Yes. I do everything available now.

            • How easy or difficult is the Music Editor to use? Easy.
            • Do you record custom yells and/or chants? Do you import other yell and chant audio files? I do not, but I use files others have created and load those into my game.
            • Are there additional Music or Yell/Chant categories that you’d like to see for Players or Teams? Will take anything extra, but was happy with it on PS3 version as is.
            • What changes or improvements would you like to see for this feature? This needs to be added to the PS4 version as I do not plan to buy the next version of the game unless Sony adds custom audio/MP3 to the PS4 as it was a huge feature I used on the PS3 and the game is not the same with it missing. Thanks for your help with this Russell.

              1. Yes. I use it for everything from individual walk up to team specific things.
              2. No. Yes
              3. Its very easy
              4. No
              5. Yes, very much so. More is better.
              6. Change is needed. I say this because the team specific music did not stick for the PS4 for MLB TS 14 every time you exit the game, so that must change.

Hopefully Sony will get the ability to add mp3's to PS4 soon.

Re: Sounds of the Show Feedback

I love the idea of sounds of the show!

But a huge issue I have with it and the reason I do not use it as much as I would really like to is because it takes so long to add like for example batter walk up music for every player. I always have and still do wish there was a custom music vault. And it would allow us to download and install team packs with all the custom music already set. So you can automatically have custom music for all the players on any team automatically.

It should be as easy as 1 2 3

Sounds of the show would be my favorite feature if it worked that way.

The other reason I don't use Sounds of the show currently is because I only play the PS4 version.

Yes, use to listen to my own music in the game.
                    • Do you find the Playlist Creator intuitive and easy to use?
At first it wasn't but as I have used it more it is easier.
                    • How easy or difficult is the Music Editor to use?
                      Not that user friendly.

Bring back the ability to give your own music to major league players. For instance I could give Shane Victorino Three Little Birds by Bob Marley and let it play until the chorus is over.
                    • What changes or improvements would you like to see for this feature?
For the playlist creator give us an option to add all music with one button instead of having to choose by each artist. Like I said earlier bring back the ability to give OUR music to any player.

I assign custom sounds for pretty much every option available. Team sounds, walkup, homerun and pitcher walkout sounds for every major leaguer, Menu music, etc.
                      • Do you find the Playlist Creator intuitive and easy to use? It's easy enough.

                      • Are there additional Music or Yell/Chant categories that you’d like to see for Players or Teams? Player of the Game music. Maybe extend the POTG sequence beyond just the Topps card thing by showing a few highlights.
                      • What changes or improvements would you like to see for this feature?

                      1. A playlist feature like other posters have already mentioned or at least an "ALL TEAMS" row on the "Select Team" music list where the music you assign there will be assigned to all teams that you don't edit individually. This would save people a lot of time when dealing with minor league clubs or major league clubs that you don't care that much about, but still want to feel the added immersion of custom music.
                      2. Expand the Jukebox beyond 499 songs if possible.
                      3. Volume control for custom sounds.
I really hope Sony adds mp3 support to PS4 soon. Custom SOTS were sorely missed on PS4. It really breathes lives into the game. If I hadn't sold my PS3, I would've bought the old gen version for it.

A: I use it extensively (at least I did on PS3). I assigned music for all players and chants for some of the teams.
                        • Do you find the Playlist Creator intuitive and easy to use?

A: Yes, it was extremely intuitive. I never had any issues.
                        • How easy or difficult is the Music Editor to use?

A: I found it to be pretty easy. Especially when the visualization thing (not sure technical term) of the sound waves was added.
                        • Do you record custom yells and/or chants? Do you import other yell and chant audio files?

A: I never recorded any myself, however I did important some chants.
                        • Are there additional Music or Yell/Chant categories that you’d like to see for Players or Teams?

A: I'd like to see an option to assign music for when an individual gets a hit (like how home run music works). For example, the White Sox typically will play whatever the batter's walk up song is whenever they get a hit. No way to do this in the show.
                        • What changes or improvements would you like to see for this feature?

A: It'd be cool if the intro song played during the starter's warm-up pitches.

Yes, extensively. I easily fill out the max number of files and typically have sounds for each MLB team and as many players as I can get.
                          • Do you find the Playlist Creator intuitive and easy to use?

Yes, though I'd like an option (like a toggle or something for each sound file) to allow it be assigned to multiple playlists (if I want the same song for a game event AND in my jukebox, I shouldn't have to take up two slots to do so).
                          • How easy or difficult is the Music Editor to use?

                          Easy.
                          • Do you record custom yells and/or chants? Do you import other yell and chant audio files?

Yes to both. I have a ridiculous amount of sound clips saved up from last gen and my whole family will record custom sounds (my wife will make catcalls and my son and I heckle...lol). We have a lot of fun with it.
                          • Are there additional Music or Yell/Chant categories that you’d like to see for Players or Teams?

I'd like more slots for chants/cheers for players and teams. Maybe separate slot for custom vendor sounds (so I don't have to use up cheers/jeers for that). There have been a bunch of great recommendations here, so I'll just say "the more, the better."
                          • What changes or improvements would you like to see for this feature?

Definitely an expansion of sounds as others have mentioned. I would love to see the limit be based on HDD space rather than anything in game so it's less restricted.

I don't know how possible this would be (given that the support isn't there on the PS4 yet), but to set the playlists up and be able to export/save the configuration (where you clipped the files, what category they're in, etc) and be able to simply call that up each year would be awesome. It would be nice if sound files carried over with year-to-year saves, as well.

Others have had great ideas here as well, like volume control, global editing, and fixes for song looping, etc. So, again, "the more, the better" applies here as well.

                            4. Yes & Yes

I second this list and ill add one suggestion. It would be cool if we could assign player music by the players being listed in alphabetical order rather than by team. I use alot of the same songs year to year and its a pain trying to figure out what team all the players are on who have moved in the offseason. people like myself who record and compile songs could easily organize it by last names.

                              • Do you use Sound of the Show? If so, how extensively? (anywhere from assigning just your created player’s walkup music to assigning all Music and/or Yell and Chant categories for all players and teams)
                              • Do you find the Playlist Creator intuitive and easy to use?
                              • How easy or difficult is the Music Editor to use?
                              • Do you record custom yells and/or chants? Do you import other yell and chant audio files?
                              • Are there additional Music or Yell/Chant categories that you’d like to see for Players or Teams?
                              • What changes or improvements would you like to see for this feature?

                              1. Yes, before starting season, I assign songs for all 30 teams for all game events. I also assign walkup music for my team. This is one of my favorite features that I wished all games copied.
                              2. Yes
3.Pretty easy for the most part, just time consuming.
                              4. Haven't ever got into the "Chant" feature
                              5. Not really interested in creating custom chants, just want stadiums/teams to have authentic chants and crowd reactions overall.
                              6. Since I haven't used this feature in over a year it's hard to remember what I wanted improved on. If I remember correctly, more "events" and more specific "events" to play music. Also would like ability to add more song options to one event for a stadium so I don't have to listen to the same song for every walk, etc.

I used it all the time and did not find it difficult. Second most the answers here. I have a bunch of Bob Sheppard sound files just waiting to be used for the PS4. Please give us as many slots as possible to insert our own sounds. Thx for asking.
