Weather in the Show
Although Baseball isn't played in inclement weather like football or soccer is (so the devs dont have to focus on it too much)... it would be nice to get more weather options for The Show 15. Rain is nice since baseball IS played in a little rain. BUT The Show needs season based weather. Meaning, it'd be nice to have the option to play a play now game using weather from any time of the year (that baseballs played.) Like, if I want to play a play now game and have it be late Spring (where the weather's around 60-65 but a warm 60-65, then I can). Or early fall where the weathers around a cool 60-65, then I can there too). Or even want to play in Fenway during the mid fall and have the crowd in hoodies and hats with breath showing, then I can. The default play now weather where it's around the usual average Summer weather is nice, but needs a "change-up". HAHA o.0Tags: None -

While they're at it give us different starting time options. Or let us just spin the clock to our liking"When it's all set and done, reality is the best innovation." -
Re: Weather in the Show
I'd also like the hitting in games in Minnesota, Milwaukee, New York and the ilk be affected by cold temps. (Think April)T-BONE.

Yeah, that'd be cool. Also humidity plays a big part. If we get a really humid day where the air is very wet, the ball doesn't travel far there either. The air slows it down.Comment

Re: Weather in the Show
Franchise mode needs a dynamic weather system for summertime in the US. I believe that's the only option MLB the Show really has, baseball is the only sport thats played every day and out in the elements. A weather pattern would have to be modeled to achieve the full type of weather we expect in the game.
My wish has more to do with MLB than the game, but they could still make this come true. Baseball is a game originally designed to be played in the day time so I wish the majority of games were scheduled for the day with the night game being the novelty. Maybe we can customize the structure of season mode for this purpose.
There is also a major need for field deg. during weather affected games. The field should wear easier, wet spots, puddles, mud, etc. not existent in rain weather currently.Last edited by @legendm0de; 10-23-2014, 12:37 AM.Red LegendComment

Maybe this year we will get these new "sweat" jerseys and dynamic weather like this during games.....Comment

Re: Weather in the Show
While I agree with all of you I wouldnt really expect to much with what we already have other then refinements .
As I recall SCEA went dragging and kicking just to add rain and only because so many requested it .Finally Roster share in NHL 22 ! Dreams do come true ! To Garryowen and Glory boys !Comment

Re: Weather in the Show
The only thing I ask for is the climate to be fixed for Target Field. Year round the temperatures stay around 75-80 degrees and I rarely see any overcast/rainy conditions. I honestly feel like the Metrodome played a large part in that since it was always 72 degrees in there, and maybe the Target Field climate was programmed almost like the dome's.Comment

I'd love to have rainouts and delays to make you play with your pitching staff.Comment

Re: Weather in the Show
I've pleaded each year to finally build in variable weather that impacts the game just like it does in real life.
I honestly think it will take another game developer who is willing to implement these features as it requires a ton of work to make it realistic.
Open and closed domes.
Weather that changes during the game.
Rainouts, double-headers, games getting called early or late into the game.
Wind changing direction in real-time that actually does something.
Water on the turf that really slows the ball down.
Slippery conditions creating players falling, colliding, sliding and increased errors.
Might want to save this thread so that we can ask again next year and the year after until someone is willing to make it happen. Give me an arcade game at this point with working weather and I will be first in line!Comment

Re: Weather in the Show
Then add some different ball physics and increase errors for a start and I would kill for a more realistic skylines as everything is so blah vanilla and muted with no pop or depth just washed out.
I wanna see some cloudy depth , purple and orange evening skylines and I think the closest we get it a kinda a muted dull yellow mid afternoon shade .Last edited by THESHAMISASHAME; 12-31-2014, 04:20 PM.Finally Roster share in NHL 22 ! Dreams do come true ! To Garryowen and Glory boys !Comment
