F1 2014 has amazing weather! Strategy becomes key to how you drive and when to take rain tyres.

Does anyone remember Joe Montana Sports Talk football for the Sega Genesis?

The weather changed DURING THE GAME! It affected the gameplay!!! Even the announcer would say "It's beginning to rain." The rain would come down light, heavy, stop, stay raining or snowing. You never knew what was going to happen. This was in 1994..........yes 20 years ago!

World Series Baseball for the Sega Saturn had rain delays!

World Series Baseball 2k1 for the Sega Dreamcast had rain delays!

Great stuff and I could actually go for a drink of Lobster cola but did you notice southern teams even had a country type singer
But guys you gotta admit MLBTS does do so many things very good especially compared to other sports game .

I'm also a fan of the MLB 14 game of thrones opening.

I can't understand why this is something they haven't worked on improving since they added rain in 2011. My only guess is they are short staffed and can only afford to work on specific features. Other sports games have added simulated rain successfully and we know the PS4 is more than capable of handling this.

The rain in FIFA 15 looks AMAZING. If SCEA got FIFA rain, but in baseball amount (not a pouring rain). It'd be sweet.

I honestly believe they don't want the additional work load that goes with it. Requires programming to figure out ways to make it variable and even more work when it comes to schedules, game outcomes, ect. Plus, I don't think they want it to become that realistic as a majority of players prefer the arcade flow of the game, thus the emphasis on quick counts, sim forward options. It's a shame and if Japan releases an english version of their baseball game with variable weather, SCEA will be behind the count, with two outs and down by 15 runs going into the 9th.

Ok one thing we need is the white chalk lines when it does rain to start fading.

this brings me to my biggest gripe about the lines in the show... they never fade...

guys again look around a baseball field as it goes on... the back lines of the boxes are obliterated by the end of the first inning.

the back line of the catcher box... gone

lines around the boxes on either side of the plate... fade drastically over time in the game... they never refresh them ever...

ok im done... on to my next gripe session somewhere else...

I remember that in Joe Montana '93 and the one I always remember was "The rain is coming down harder". The rain would even sometimes stop.

Cool memories you bring back but I don't recall 2K1 having rain delays...

What I can't stand is everyone wearing sleeves during a night game when the temp is in the 60s. Why give us sleeve options to edit if everyone wears long ones anyways, especially pitchers. You can play a game in LA at night in July and everyone one the field is in long sleeves.

Something just hit me. It'd be cool if like especially for places like Rockies, and Possibly Mets/Yanks and BoSox playing games in April, if we could play in the snow. We have options for rain; but like season openers in snow, (or play now games in April, we could have snow in the colder areas). Neat idea.
