The only thing 2k baseball had over the show was the announcers, there was a flow to them and maybe it's just me but the atmosphere was different too, felt like you were in the park, i don't know how to explain it but i just got a different feel when playing 2k baseball.

You're so right! The crowd "felt different." Everything about it was awesome! Example, all the way back in 2k5, bleacher creatures did the role call for the Yanks.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment

I know what you're saying, though. There are certain nuances encapsulated more profoundly with 2K. To be honest though, I think there are more with The Show (in-stadium only).Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Wow, I never noticed that! Because since I rely a lot on sound, I have to turn crowd down a bit!1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment

Personally, I think that what The Show captures, it captures better (and is more representative of the majority of a baseball season)...but, it would be nice to see more time spent on the excitement of baseball (since the nuance is already done so well) as the season progresses.
The enhanced playoff atmosphere helped with that greatly...we just need to translate that better to other prime time or key games in the regular season as well IMO. For me, this is where SOTS is most missed, as it supplemented for some of that with chants, clutch plays, etc.Comment

Yes, even a quick game in 2k felt more alive than the show. The difference was gameplay of course! Whenever I played 2k, it felt so much more arcade like. So basically I wish we could have 2k presentation with the shows gameplay.1458, not counting playoffs, that's the number of games in a row I haven't missed! Go Yanks!Comment

Re: MLB 15 The Show Has New Human IK Engine, Tag System, Commentary, Overhauled Franc
I was merely pointing out the amount of players hence, the amount of work it will be. I believe they do multitask already, no?
And I'm not saying I don't want face and body scans - that would be awesome. But I think there are more respectful ways to say it other than by calling out the developers saying as long as we have them we'll always have fat catchers. I think they listen as much to what their customers want as anyone, and put out a quality game ever year. Can't say that about many developers.
By the way, I know you weren't the one that made the statement, so sorry for my rant on your post.

I was always under the impression that the lack of things like all-star uniforms and more varied body types was because the PS3 had a minuscule amount of RAM and couldn't handle more than x amount of unique objects on screen, not that there wasn't enough dev time or manpower or anything of that nature.Bakin' soda, I got bakin' sodaComment

They already do that for the faces so doing full body scans isn't that far removed from their current process.
