Another thing that they could do is take away slots from teams like the Yankees that don't use alternates. They always give them a uniform slot that they fill with the exact same jersey as home and road. If they did that for those teams that would give them more slots to include the jerseys for other teams.

I too am wondering if the Mariners' new uniforms for Sundays will make it in the game. Those are nice looking.

I'm wondering if the new Sunday uniforms are in the game, which I believe they will be. Does that mean no more green jerseys, and hats with the green bill in the game? It would almost have to assuming that the navy jerseys would remain the road alternate. It seems either the green jerseys or the new Sunday alternate will be left out. I'd really hate to see the green ones go as they are some of my favorite jerseys in baseball.

If the slots have not changed, then I would assume the teal jerseys are out. That is a shame since that is a unique look and I really wish it would stay in the game.

As for slots, there is a reason why they are in there. Unless SCEA changes the way they chose uniforms for RttS, Franchise, ect, then it's not going to change in game. Hopefully they will just create more slots.

We had heard before that they couldn't create anymore slots due to the PS3 being maxed out. Well the PS4 should have opened up a whole new world as far as that goes. So hopefully they take advantage and create at least 1 more uniform slot. I really expect a huge jump this year since it is year 2 of the PS4 and they aren't going to be focusing as much on the PS3.

Man, now that they confirmed the same amount of uniform slots, I really want to know if the Mariners are going to get their new jerseys, and if so, what will be sacrificed. I really hope they just take out their throwbacks instead of taking away the teal...

It's very unlikely that the throwbacks will be taken out. It's now more likely that the teal jerseys are going to be removed or the new Sunday home jerseys are not going to make the game.

Such a bummer to hear. Wish they'd kill off the matching sets or unused throwbacks and insert current alternates. The Rays (for example) don't get their Sunday jersey, but get two sets of home/road identical (except for hat) throwback. They could be more efficient for teams like the Brewers too by making their throwback in the throwback slot and inserting the gold or navy home alternate in that slot. I truly believe that they spend their time on bigger features but ignore the uniforms because they can be somewhat ported into the PS3 and vita. I guess I'll just create the 2015 missing and error thread and hope 2016 is a PS4 exclusive with a lot of different options

You don't get why they do the slots. From what I've seen in the game, they keep the throwback uniform slots in order to have "throwback" games in franchise and RttS modes. There is a method to their madness...

Point taken, but you can change the uniforms yourself in franchise mode so you don't need them to "lead the way" to a throwback game. Personally, I would rather have current uniforms rather than certain throwback uniforms that are not even considered by the teams. Going back to my Tampa example, I think it's silly that a jersey that's worn every Sunday is left out in favor of a fake jersey that has been worn three times ever or a devil Ray set that has been used a throwback once six years ago. That leaves the fauxback (3 uses), the throwback home (1 use), throwback road (0), throwback old home and road (0) taking up space. Are they going to take the fake throwback jersey that was worn once and replace the Navy alternate? Now if they would just take the fauxback home and away and replace a devil Ray set and use the navy and Columbia Blues as alternates, that would be a better fix. Oh well, although annoying to me, it's something that I'll deal with again and it's not a gamebreaker by any means.

Agree, they just need to make better choices.

They have however said that they were going to be taking more care with uniforms this year as in the past they have been a bit slack.

Yes they did say that, but it does start to eat at me year after year that while this game kicks butt in many other categories, it's always behind every game in terms of uniforms. It's just impossible to keep the "slot" system going with all these teams having a surplus amount of uni's. NBA 2K is right on with having almost every uniform a team has worn available in the game. The style guide more than likely won't ever allow this, but we need to be able to get more uni's in without compromising another. The uni's will never make or break whether I buy the game, but hopefully something is figured out next year.

Here's what they should do.

Eliminate a spring training slot for teams that wear the same spring training uniforms at home and on the road. Keep it to 1 slot for teams it applies too.

Eliminate the throwback old slot and just have 1 home throwback and 1 road throwback for each team.

If they made these adjustments teams could have more uniforms that are worn consistantly.

Examples:
Get rid of 1 old throwback slot for Milwaukee and insert the Gold Alternate.

Get rid of 1 Seattle throwback and add the Sunday creams.
