Just watched one of the streams and just when I was getting accustomed to the idea of this simplified analog swing without the stride I see that contact swings are now a flick to the left or the right? I don't see how it makes any sense at all to completely change the motion for a contact swing.

I'm definitely leaning towards punting on 15 now. I'll keep my eye on the posters from this thread and check your impressions on this new batting system.

I actually think once people get use to the new mechanics, they will probably love it. At 1st I thought I don't want this, I struggle already hitting, butt h emore I thought about it the more I like what they did. PLus SCEA has always implemented things real well when they add new in, so I have the utmost confidence it will be a great addition. Nothing wrong with waiting for reviews though if your unsure. There have been times with NBA2k and Madden that I had waited it out and not bought it right when it came out, but I have never felt htat way when it comes to MLBTS.

This is just going to make Analog even more cheap online. it already was pretty much a timing only system, now one of the aspects of timing has been removed. At least force them to use analog with Zone if playing online.

I've bought on release every year since '07 and this has turned me from a sure buy to a pass. Not interested in this dumbed down crap. It would just be awesome if they copied the no check swing too, I would love to see that blow up here.

Well you can now hit with timing via buttons....so yeah online should be interesting (if it works)

Id rather face timing than center swingers using contact tbh.
