Question Community Day Crew: Was the standings fixed in franchise mode? While the game loaded up there is "the standings" screen that would appear. It would have the division standings up to date, but all the teams have not currently played there games. For example, my game started at 1 pm and the rest of the division had a 7 pm starting time...

I would covered my eyes every time that load screen appeared.

I've been trying to find this out for a Longggg time.. You would think this would be no problem to fit this BACK into the game on next Gen since they've mastered it on ps3.. They make MILLIONS off these games.. The technological age we are in.. I mean I'm tired of sitting on my butt pushing a button at the right time to hit or pitch... Let me step up to the mound and the plate and PLAY!! This is Next Gen!! That should have been reason enough to MAKE TIME to fit this into the ps4 version.. Plain and simple..

I played for my church softball team last summer, and had a blast. Helped them win their first regular season title ever. (Lost in the semifinal though) .... Looking forward to the upcoming season if I can actually play.

I just thought of a great question for the stadium stream... so before I forget about it, I'll say it now in the form of a statement, so it's not like I'm asking about it before hand haha..

They said the Fenway monster standings are now dynamic... so I wonder if it uses the internet connection and daily updates the board even for play now games with the RL standings...

That would be dope, same with the flags in AT&T park for standings. If in an exhibition game it showed the real life standings up to date.

Or do you think it's dynamic just through franchise play where it will be using the standings through your franchise? Hopefully it will have both!

I didn't check this specific issue with the new game, but isn't this by design (even though it may not be ideal)? This happens because when you start select your game, you are prompted and forced to say "yes" for simulating all preceding games, correct? If that's what you are talking about, I didn't see anything new, so the behavior probably will be the same.

However, I think there's a potential workaround for this even with the current game. Instead of going to "View Organization's Games," you go to "View Today's Games." When you select your game, then all the games listed earlier to your games will be simmed, but those listed after won't be simmed. That way, you can maintain a bit more authenticity in terms of when games happen. (Obviously with this method games happening concurrently, i.e., starting at the same time, would be an issue....)

Or am I talking about a wrong thing? I don't know.

Hello OS Nation. First time poster, but long time fan of OS and MLB The Show.

I'm sure this has been brought up before (maybe not this year, but possibly in the past), but has there ever been any talk of providing an option to play with user controlled hitting and simulated pitching? This could be a personal feeling, but there are times when all I feel like doing is hitting (I was a catcher in college so I am a little biased ).

IDK if this is an option specifically per se, but I DO think you have an option to simulate half innings... You can always sim your defensive half inning... Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, if he wanted to he could switch to the control to CPU for when he was in the field if he wanted to actually watch it play out.

I do actually I play baseball and softball.. I just simply want the ps Move BACK into the game for next Gen.

I did not try to move it so I am not sure, we were moving the pitching meter around to a different location.
