Is the traditional Zone plus analog still an option? If it is, has it been altered?

The analog portion has been as there is no more stride input from the user.

Push up for a normal swing
Flick left or right for a contact swing
Pull down and then push up for a power swing.

Gonna be a bit of adjusting to that.... although it makes it more simplistic to just push up to normal swing with a leadoff guy and flick sideways to contact with a pitcher, then full back and forth with someone like Big papi.

What is the meaning of Input Type option? What does it do?

Can you select Timing pitching for example and use it with either Button or Analog input?

Nem, Thanks for answering our ?'s. As far as you've seen, any improvement to the old fielder urgency issues.

There is quite a bit of improvement with this as most of the animations fit the situation. Once in a while you may see a questionable one but not to the extent of what we were seeing.

Seriously though, that's a surprise. I knew the confirmation of a swing influence still worked (the controller rumble) so I had always assumed the feature actually did.

Your input type is whether you are using buttons or analog.

There is not such thing as timing pitching.

Yeah, it will be an adjustment. I like the fact that you had to learn and time your pull back due to your guy's stride in relation to the pitcher's release. With that adjustment to analog this year, I will probably go with timing or the new directional hitting once I give it a go. Thank goodness for SCEA and their commitment to providing us plenty of options!

Does the improved lighting affect how you see the ball coming to the plate when there are shadows on the field?
