Curious to know if anyone has done testing on this now that the game is out? I haven't gotten around to buying it yet, and I assume its still there but you never know.

Re: RTTS Difficulty Setting Confusion
so I have figured out while hitting, if I want to play all star.
AA is Legend, AAA is HOF and MLB will be all star,. Would the same work for a pitcher?
Or should it be rookie AA, vet AAA, all star MLB.
If anyone has figured this out, thank you in advance.Comment

Re: RTTS Difficulty Setting Confusion
For keeping at All-star on all levels, you would set to HOF on AA, All-star on AAA, and Veteran on MLB.Comment

Re: RTTS Difficulty Setting Confusion
Awesome, thanks for the help everyone, I guess what I have found is, I can actually hit on HOF in RTTS, and be somewhat productive, but will really need to learn how to pitch, unless it is common to really grind out the first few years pitching.
I have technically been pitching on Veteran (All Star setting at AA) and have been getting destroyed.Comment

Re: RTTS Difficulty Setting Confusion
I want to make sure I get this...
If I want ALL-Star at MLB level it is:
MLB = All-Star
AAA = Legend
AA = HofF
I just read here that
AA = Legend
AAA = HofF
but that implies it is harder to hit without adjustment on AA than AAA and I am confused...
I thought each level down from MLB was one up in difficulty.
Thanks to anyone who clarifies.
Nevermind I am an idiot Legend is more difficult than HofF isn't it?...
Haha I confused myself I think...
Though still if someone is kind enough to just post what three settings I need to make all three levels
All-Star... thanks again!Last edited by SpritePuck; 05-05-2015, 08:55 PM. Reason: confusing myself is easier than having others do it for me..Comment

AA : Raise Difficulty to HOF
AAA: Lower Difficulty to All-Star
MLB: Lower Difficulty to Veteran.
That's not dev-confirmed, but it's a pretty safe assumption given the way this obviously works in Player Lock. I posted the example with MLB '14 a little ways down this thread that explains in more detail what's going on.
Remember, this doesn't apply if you're using dynamic difficulty - the internal difficulty change doesn't happen there.Comment

Re: RTTS Difficulty Setting Confusion
This is some great reading and discovery. Thanks guys. Now I do have a question though. Is this playing with default sliders? I have been on All-Star, bounced my sliders between A&S, TNK, and default w/fielding and base running adjusted. I had a default one that I played about 20 games with. I felt it was over powered and there were like 20+ guys all hitting over .400.
Just wanted to get some opinion on whether default is the way to go, or are ppl using sliders. ThanksReally wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players

Re: RTTS Difficulty Setting Confusion
To stay on All-Star for the entirety of your career:
AA : Raise Difficulty to HOF
AAA: Lower Difficulty to All-Star
MLB: Lower Difficulty to Veteran.

Thanks for all the hard work and for replying!
I always play franchise and this year decided to do a RTTS and wanted it to be like hitting in franchise mode. Thanks again!Comment

Re: RTTS Difficulty Setting Confusion
With a lot of RTTS info coming out, I thought I'd give this thread a bump. I know it is from a couple of years ago, but there is a lot of good research and none of it has changed.
I still don't understand why this is in the game I'm hoping we can find out if it has changed soon.Moderator

Re: RTTS Difficulty Setting Confusion
So this is all valid still?
If I my RTTS difficulty shows as veteran and my RTTS players are in the majors then I am essentially playing at All-Star? That would be good because I was beginning to feel guilty about still having it set at veteran.Last edited by Dolenz; 03-16-2017, 12:32 PM.Comment

Re: RTTS Difficulty Setting Confusion
But also remember this does not apply to Dynamic Difficulty. Whatever setting you are on in Dynamic is the true setting across the board.
That is why I switched to Dynamic last year. That way I did not have to keep switching Levels or use a separate profile for RTTS.
Ooops just saw this was already posted earlier. Oh well I will leave it case there are other fools like me who skip reading every post.In Loving memory of my "Cricket" 1/2/96 - 11/19/2012
