If you go back to 14 it appears as if they are free agents in that screen as well, but once you offer a contract, I believe it is by December 6, they are locked to team control and will either resign or able to be renewed on the last day of the offseason.

The renewable tag only ever appeared for players on the 40 man.

        2 disappointments

        A. Old minor league Stadiums from PS3? That kinda stinks was hoping for something new and fresh.

B.With the ****ty winter in Chicago! Why SCEA? why a March 31st release date? I'm so ready for Spring and the early March release always gets me pumped for Spring!

Anyways so pumped for this game as it looks vastly improved! 32 days and counting!

That stamina note is interesting, I'm guessing the thresholds are ~105-110 pitches for starters and ~20-25 pitches for relievers. I wonder if reliever stamina has been tweaked at all so that it uses more of the ratings scale (most relievers were in the 20-30 range).

And similarly, if I import a franchise from '14, will I ever have the option to turn them either on or off?

At the event I was averaging about 30 pitches and the OSD would pop up saying the reliever is tired.

Minor league players in 14 are treated that way when contracts expire, so I would assume it's the case. Just have to offer a contact to them before the last day to retain your players.
Thats going to be a game killer - having to offer 65 contracts every offseason - just to minor league guys. Ugh.

Do we have non roster invitees this year? I dont want to have to put a guy I just drafted on the 40 man just to check him out in ST.

                      I don't believe so.

I ask this as someone inexperienced in Show's franchise mode, but will be getting into it this year.

Will it be possible to buy a team outright, a la NBA 2K, so you won't have to worry about the owner again? (As opposed to just turning off GM contracts, like I saw in this thread?) I get you can't build a new stadium or move the team regardless, thus the Rays are still stuck with the Trop, but do you get what I'm saying?

Because I'm sure even I can run the Marlins better than that troll Jeffrey Loria. Seriously, I'm a Houston guy, but man, I feel sorry for Marlins fans...and of course, Montreal Expos fans, who Loria also betrayed.

can mlb level be randomly generated too? no real playerscat all?
that would be sweet if true.

You'll have to download a fictional roster for that.

The Show has no type of owner mode. Just the GM contracts that can be turned on or off. No relocation feature and likely will never happen either.

I got that relocation wasn't possible, but still, darn. Oh well. Thanks for the info.
