Question for you MOM guys who use quick counts. I recall when QC was first introduced in 14, any time I would make a mid-inning pitching change, QC would assign a count before I made the change and because of this, the results from the at-bat would be credited to the pitcher who was removed, which would mess up the accuracy of the stats. I have not tried QC on MOM since. Have they ever corrected this?

Re: MLB 15 - Manage Only Mode
Of course I could always tweak the sliders to try and resolve this (all my batting slider settings are at the default 5 value), but offense in my MoM games appears to be down since the game was patched a couple of weeks ago. 4 of my 8 starting positional players have gone cold with their bats and 2 of the remaining 4 players who are not cold are unable to play more than 2 maybe 3 days in a row before they need to rest for a few days all because they have a history of lengthy real world injuries and the SCEA rosters have them with very low durability ratings. But with all that said, the funny thing is even though offense appears to have dropped off a lot since the patch, I am winning games. I have won 4 in a row, and won 5 of my last 6 games. I have also won 7 of my last 10 games giving me an overall record of 14-11, second place in the division 1.5 games out of first place. While my pitching staff is the lowest rating pitching staff in the entire game, my starting pitchers have performed really well since the patch, and even my relievers who were less than stellar in April are not blowing games like they did earlier in the season (knock on wood).
Now if I could only figure out how to stop my 3B who has won the real world gold glove in the last 2 seasons, from committing all those throwing errors to 1B. Through 25 games he has committed 9 errors, 2 more than the next worse guy out of all 30 teams. Oh and in the real world this same 3B has committed 2 errors in 24 games. I've already adjusted the infield slider throwing errors to only be a 2 instead of the default 5, but that has not stopped my 3B from throwing the ball wild as many times as he has. I know EA had the moto of "If it's in the game, it's in the game". But I think now I need to change the moto to be "If it's in the game, it's not in the game". Of course MLB The Show is not EA. haha ...
Winning is good (I have not touched the player ratings at all, I am 100% stock ratings from when the game was released), so I am not upset that my offense appears to have tanked since the patch. Just curious if others are also seeing reduced offense in their games, or am I just dealing with an anomaly? Hits are being produced by both teams in my games. But not enough consecutive hits are happening to push across the runs. More base runners from both my team and the CPU opponents appear to be stranded on base post-patch than they were pre-patch.Last edited by My993C2; 05-04-2015, 12:05 PM.Comment

Re: MLB 15 - Manage Only Mode
I play only QC Mom but so far post-Patch my offense seems the same.Maybe slightly less but not much.QC and regular Mom seem to play differently this year for example minimal bunt issues in QC while quite a few in regular. Also offense has been as a whole the best ive ever seen in Mom since the series began.I play on all default sliders.Just my two cents

But besides the bunting issues, I wouldn't think QC and non-QC MoM games would be all that different. I do see a fair amount of 0-0 first pitch batter contact which sometimes results in a hit or an out. But I also see a lot of deep counts in my non-QC games. In fact while I am still in the early innings of a game still facing the starter, I usually instruct my hitters to take the 2nd pitch if the 1st one was a ball to try and get the pitcher to throw more pitches and try to get them out of the game ASAP. I might just be dealing with a low offensive anomaly here. I've been on the road these last 6 games and the last 3 games were at Petco where offense is hard to come by in the game as well as in the real world. Only 2 homeruns were hit in the weekend 3 game series (each team hitting one in the 2nd game of the series) and there were other deep flies where you would think might have been a big fly in other parks just die at Petco. Plus it's not like I am only seeing singles. I am also seeing doubles and triples. It's just that a lot of base runners seem to be stranded on the bases for both teams ever since the patch. Makes for shorter games, so I guess not all is bad. hahaComment

Re: MLB 15 - Manage Only Mode
You need to go to the calendar screen and select your game. You will have an option to manage the game. You can only do it from the calendar...... Selecting the advance day option will not allow for manage mode.Comment

Re: MLB 15 - Manage Only Mode
Same as regular franchise. When you go to play games select calender when you pick the game it gives you the option of manage game and that it you're ready to go.Hope that helped.

Re: MLB 15 - Manage Only Mode
I really hate the fact that when you call for a bunt, your player is not smart enough to pull back if the pitch is a ball.Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players

Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.Comment

Re: MLB 15 - Manage Only Mode
Totally agree, but frankly i'l be happy if they just leave it in.After Nba2k toook out coach mode and Madden only has Auto-Pass i feel fortunate The Show has a true coach mode with Mom.
