It's for every mlb game man. It will apply in 15. Ill make more when 15 comes out about the new directional hitting.
Hey cardinal,
Where are your eyes at when you're at the plate before the pitch? I think I heard you in the vid say you tracked the ball mid pitch? Does that mean you don't have an area of focus during the pitcher's windup?
"A man can only be beaten in two ways: if he gives up, or if he dies."
The hitting tutorial has nothing to do with DD. I am using Molina vs Felix on legend. I just didn't want to post them in the dead DD Section.
just funny is all here we are on the verge of MLB15 and now these tips are posted lol if trying gain viewers and youtube subs always a better way to go about rather than self promoting. IMO hitting will be revamped with improved pitch breaks and entirely new directional hitting, as far as DD goes strategy and players the system is completely different
I tried somethings that he posted in the video that I didn't experiment with before and I am really enjoying the game. I play 14 just about daily and since watching the video I have changed to HOF hitting with pure analog swing. I've never been able to hit successfully in HOF before. Yeah it may not apply too much to 15 but I did find it useful.

Well for one...I am not trying to get subs on YT. Secondly, I couldn't post these over the summer as I was out of the country deployed with terrible internet. Third, the hitting will be fundamentally the same in 15. I will post more videos once the game comes out. I more or less wanted to get some practice with the share factory and I am sure someone will find the video helpful. A lot of people have requested me to do make a video for hitting and DD. You don't have to watch it man lol. All I am trying to do is share my tips and get feedback.

Ahh I could have brought this up as well. This brings me to two more points.
1) Eye level is another key factor when hitting. Make sure you are sitting even with your TV with your eyes level to the pitcher's release point or at try to get as close as possible to this. I'd recommend a nice computer/office chair. I don't recommend a recliner/couch but that is just my personal preference.
2)My eyes focus on the pitcher's release point. Try picking this up early on as each pitcher is a little different. I know some people like to just look at their PCI and only swing if they see the ball entering that zone. I don't recommend that since you can't pick up the pitch break/speed. Most pitches you can pick up right away (for instance curve's you see a small loop) and you are hindering your ability to recognize pitches. As hustlin stated, they are introducing dynamic pitch breaks and SDS said it should be easier to read pitches in 15.
I would say out of these 2 that eye level is more important. Don't worry too much about picking up a perfect spot to watch for the pitcher's release point, but just find a consistent spot to look at your tv for every pitch.
Hope that answered your question.
