Glad it helped. For some tips they can be universal for all hitting interfaces. I know the camera helps out a lot for some. Pure analog is a little different but you can go up there with the same approaches. E.g, looking middle in or middle away. I am just not good at aiming with the RS in mid swing. I have to use zone plus analog when I switch to analog.

Re: Hitting Tips and Diamond Dynasty Tutorial
1) Eye level is another key factor when hitting. Make sure you are sitting even with your TV with your eyes level to the pitcher's release point or at try to get as close as possible to this. I'd recommend a nice computer/office chair. I don't recommend a recliner/couch but that is just my personal preference.
Now that sit up on the couch or chair at eye level and I see the ball so much better. I can pretty much tell strike or ball as soon as it's released. When I was on the floor, I found myself having to wait that extra milisecond and it cost me.
I still do kinda recline from time to time and get my feet up a bit...
2)My eyes focus on the pitcher's release point. Try picking this up early on as each pitcher is a little different. I know some people like to just look at their PCI and only swing if they see the ball entering that zone. I don't recommend that since you can't pick up the pitch break/speed. Most pitches you can pick up right away (for instance curve's you see a small loop) and you are hindering your ability to recognize pitches. As hustlin stated, they are introducing dynamic pitch breaks and SDS said it should be easier to read pitches in 15.
Then I went to the focusing on my sweet spot in the zone and just swinging at what came there. Didn't swing at junk anymore but then my timing wasn't quite as good.
Now -- well I don't know how to explain it now -- but I look at the pitcher and it's kind of a softer focus. I pick the ball of well on release and can judge it almost instantaneously. I'm not trying to stare anymore out 60 feet six inches at the pitcher as if I were working in a 3 dimensional plane. I mean I never could see the spin of the ball anyway until it got almost to the plate.
It's working for me, though. I feel like I'm hitting better than ever and I finally found a camera I like, but I'm always looking to get better. I want to master it. I want to make sure I'm getting the most out of the game."A man can only be beaten in two ways: if he gives up, or if he dies."Comment

Re: Hitting Tips and Diamond Dynasty Tutorial
Yeah I am in the same boat with you on the "soft focus". I don't recommend staring down the exact release point and only focusing on that. I kind of have a general area I look at. This does allow me to judge the strike zone better. So it seems like we have pretty similar approaches when it comes to picking up the pitch.
It is second nature to me now so I really had to think about what I actually do and try to explain it. I like the phrase "soft focus" though. Good luck with your hitting bro!Comment

Re: Hitting Tips and Diamond Dynasty Tutorial
Thanks for the tutorial. We need more of these for this game. I know there are loads of videos for Madden but not so much for MLB.
I'd like to see a pitching tips video. I'd especially want to know how and when to throw these types of pitches:
2sfb
sinker
changeup
I'll throw sinkers low in the zone but always seem to get hit hard with this pitch online. I try to throw changeups for balls low in the zone but can't get hitters to bite all of the time.
Control Freaks was mentioned but didbn't quite catch what that was. Is it a particular controller?Comment

I can do a pitching tutorial and plan on it actually. I am just trying to think on how to do it. I might have to show my controller while playing. I can pretty much talk about all interfaces and pitching tactics online and offline. Offline is more random, but I have some good tactics for online and ways to find holes in your opponent's swing.Comment

Re: Hitting Tips and Diamond Dynasty Tutorial
Kontrol Freeks. They are extenders for your analog and allow you to be more precise while aiming PCI plus they add more grip. I use 2 different kinds. One for my LS and one for RS (I pitch with analog). http://www.kontrolfreek.com/Comment
