Not impressed with the Personalized animations....
So far I'm not extremely impressed & was hoping for more. To me besides the gameplay.. 2nd most important is making each individual batter/pitcher feel like just that, unique through personalized animations. What a joke this title is as it is right now. Every batter seems the same.. though I guess everyone skips through walk-up & in between pitch animations anyway.Tags: None -

I guess the same can be said about you, everything from you is about the same. You are totally entitled to your opinion but your approach is getting a little long in the tooth.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory” -

I mean is most of the streams/videos the devs were buttoning through the batter walkups and cutscenes in an attempt to get back to actual gameplay.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: Not impressed with the Personalized animations....
Starting a thread discussing your opinion on personalized animations solely on your expectation vs what the game actually offers , comes across as arguing just for arguing sake (or debating for debating sake)
So what would be the point of continuing any discussion? You are not going to change your mind as you're not willing to play the final build of the game before passing judgment.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

well hopefully when the game drops and we get our hands on it, the animations won't be as bad as you think or are expecting.I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

Re: Not impressed with the Personalized animations....
Perhaps he lacked a little tact with his complaint, but he is right, the follow through animations need to be more varied. The HR swings are pretty good, but on regular hits there are the same 3 or 4 follow through animations. I can use Justin Upton vs Prince Fielder as a glaring example. They both keep two hands on the bat during their follow through. Their swing finishes are vastly different, however in the game they are exactly the same and the follow through doesnt flow with the rest of Uptons swing. We need shorter follow throughs available to assign to players. It actually causes Uptons HR animation to be glitched.Comment

Re: Not impressed with the Personalized animations....
I am not challenging you on the topic of the animations at all, they can use some diversity. Your approach is abrasive and what you feel is constructive comes off as snide. A differently worded op could have brought on constructive conversation.Last edited by nemesis04; 03-15-2015, 01:26 PM.“The saddest part of life is when someone who gave you your best memories becomes a memory”Comment

Re: Not impressed with the Personalized animations....
As long as San Diego Studio nails the gameplay, anything graphically animation-wise is gravy on the cake. The Show's graphics, while not perfect (what in life is?) will suffice. If SDS concentrated their efforts on things that were aesthetically pleasing but didn't add any value to the actual gameplay, and then dropped the ball on gameplay, I'm sure we'd see a tenfold increase in these type threads. And sales would suffer. And none of us would have a yearly baseball release anything near what the Show brings to the table. Right now, I think SDS has their priorites right. I certainly don't expect anyone to spend money on something they won't be happy with, but I also damn sure don't want anything to distract where the developers are taking this game. Hopefully they won't take their eyes off the prize with minimalist visions such as these.T-BONE.

Perfectly said!
You have to have a great game before you worry about things like personalized animations. I get so frustrated seeing people complain that captain patches aren't in the right spot or there is no Nike logos in the game, stuff like that. Some people seem more worried about that stuff instead of playing a great game. I would much rather have a great playing game then worry about if they have the most up to date all-star uniform.Comment
