Fair point. I just think that the reason The Show is so well supported by Sony despite sales not really comparing with other sports titles is because its a system seller. Take away the system and I don't think SCEA San Diego gets the same resources to make the game that they currently do from Sony.

Of course, I could be completely wrong about that too cause I don't actually know what I'm talking about...

Ill take back what i said. I dont necessarily want consoles to go away. I just hope the next ones can at least keep up with a decent PC when they are released. 60 v 30 FPS isnt that big deal to me. But there is no reason these consoles shouldnt have been able to do 1080 60 for every game. Even if it did cost 100 more.

The SDK for PS4 will see some major updates. Depending on middleware and all that stuff I bet we can surely expect to see revamped jerseys at some point during this gen.

Yeah, there is a big reason bud. My gaming PC with an OC'd 970 and i5 2500k @ 4.5GHz cannot do that in every game to my liking. I like downsampling the most but with new games like Witcher 3 I am looking at ultra settings and decent AA at 30FPS lol. You are playing on a 400 dollar machine with basic parts in it. No, this machine should not be able to do every game at 1080p 60FPS. Every game would like complete and utter BUTT. It would be like regressing two generations so you can have your extra 30 frames lol. No one would be okay with that but a few crazy diehards.

Nah, that would be too short and really hard on devs. Maybe if consoles could be upgraded like PCs, but then there would be no point to consoles at all.

Good point, probably it would be better if they released consoles with better hardware even if they are more expensive and cycles could be 5 years.

Yeah it would be better if they maybe went with a little newer tech and for a little more. Say a consoler comes out and has 3 year old tech at launch and cost 400 maybe it would be better if instead it was like 2 year old tech and cost 450 or something.

I would most certainly not buy a console every 2-3 years.

Yep. If they started that I'd simply go PC only and put the $ that would go into a console into upgrades for PC.
