Re: Anyone play on 10 pitch speed?

Used to do max pitch speed on legend, but with timing hitting it becomes nearly impossible to square up a ball once the CPU pitcher gets in a groove. Dropped down to All-star but the CPU grooved too many pitches, so now I'm on HOF and it strikes a good balance between the two.

Re: Anyone play on 10 pitch speed?

Recently been toying around with Legend/10. I see balls/strikes better, but with timing hitting I see way too many whiffs even at 7 contact. I might have to raise it even more to see if I can get a more realistic contact rate for my hitters.

I've been playing on 10 for years now, it just seems the most realistic to me. I really enjoy it!

Yes for me, all 10 all the time...

Re: Anyone play on 10 pitch speed?

I usually try to get some games in, especially with RTTS, at Pitch Speed 10 for the most challenging (which also means realistic) experience.

For sim-oriented gaming, though, I find Pitch Speed 10 makes it harder for me to play realistically, because given how rewarding it is in the game to hit to the opposite field, it often does not make sense for me to try to pull, and I end up hitting a bit more HRs to the opposite field than to my liking (even with less powerful hitters... I think I hit 4 or 5 HRs with Eric Sogard in the spring training in my franchise). For me the sweet spot seems to be at 7 or 8, in MLB 14.

I can't anymore as both my monitor and TV have some input lag. The monitor I used before has very little, less than a frame, but now when playing CoTW for example all my hits are mostly to the opposite field. Before everything was spread out. Now I keep it at 5-7.

I used to always play with pitch speed 10 on my CRT tv because it had virtually zero input lag. Last year i found myself having to lower pitch speed to 8 to make up the difference between my old CRT tv and my new LED.

I tried it and didn't find it as difficult to hit as I'd have expected it. Don't think it makes that much of a difference difficulty wise.

I use 10 because anything slower I'm always early on. Last year I used timing hitting and dynamic difficulty. I can't read pitches for the life of me I think I might try to start doing it in '15.

                      I struggle with 5. 10 is insane.

I play on 0 and have no desire to up the speeds.

I play with pitch speed turned all the way down, I struggle with it on default. No way I could do it on 10.

Glad IM not the only 1 who plays with it at 0,lol. I do tend to play on the level right below the hardest, so I get realistic results because I do pitch well, but I tend to struggle hitting even with it at 0. I know why I cant hit now, but even before when I felt good hitting wasn't very easy for me. Even though It gets frustrating I love the challenge, and since I use the Reds, it realistic I suck hitting, lol.

My gosh if I put pitch speed at 10, I would be even worse than Zach Cozart is IRL,lol.

I assume 10 is max, right? I always play on max. Gotta stick with realism.
