I didn't turn off the console...rather ejected the CD and went thru the install process again.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

I have a question about pitching. I'm new to baseball games and baseball in general.

My SP in RTTS has a 4 seam fastball that tops out at 102 mph. Now, if I were to hurl a fastball at max speed on an outside corner and get a strike and then throw another fastball at 90-95 mph, would that catch the batter off guard or would it just give him more time to send the ball to the next town?

I read that Verlander does this sometimes and I thought it would be kinda cool if this would work

Previously posted and still lost. Any thoughts?

Bunch of odd questions. In Wrigley Field, how many versions of the ivy are there? When does the ivy change to full green? I have done a bunch of simulations games in every month of the year and have only seen the ivy go from full brown to sprinkled with green. I have seen pics of it full green. Not sure when or how that can be done. I have also done tests in season and it is always brown through the year and never changes. Any ideas?

I just started July in my franchise, and the ivy is full green.

Thank you. I am going to give it a shot again as well as take pictures.

RTTS player only, so how would a $20 MLB 14 compared to MLB The Show 15? Is it worth the $40+ upgrade?

Who's sliders do you prefer in the sliders section (14 and 15)?

After hearing many complain about not getting hits with "Good" timing (myself included) I decided to test it out for myself and must report, sadly, that there is definitely an issue.

After playing ten games I only had three hits that resulted from "Good" timing. Most of the time when I had "Good" timing the pitch was either a pop-up or a foul ball which makes a difficult game even more so when it is nearly impossible to get a hit when you are timing things just as you should.

I really hope the developers look into this and can adjust whatever it is that is causing the issue. I am not expecting a hit every time, but at the very least balls hit with "Good" timing should be put in play, not popped straight up for an out or a foul ball.

I have noticed this as well but timing isn't the only thing or automatic to putting a ball into play fair or solid hit, it still depends on where on the bat you hit the ball and the type of pitch that is thrown, you can have perfect timing and miss the ball completely honestly. That's the beauty and frustrations of baseball!

Should I just raise my all of my starters durability to 99? I just finished the month of April and I'm having to sit a starter or two every game. Should I just leave them in? Does it matter? Also what does the red bar above the green bar mean?

I get that, but if I am using timing hitting and have good timing, what more can I do?

How many innings are you throwing with them?
                        How many pitches?
What is their current stamina rating(s)?

                            Ahh.....
Honestly....just ignore the coach decision unless he is falling under 20% on the energy bar...which is the green bar.
The red bar above is the OVR rating of the player.

Are you just not hitting good at all? Because I am using timing as well and get plenty of hits regardless of timing unless of course too early or too late, what I'm sYing is I will swing early or late with certain guys in certain situations depending on what I am trying to do in the situation, "good" timing isn't essential to getting hit in this game much like real life baseball.

Point being maybe you need to tweak your sliders some to get the results you are looking for, are you using any custom sliders or default?

I'm hitting about .270 on AS with my drafted franchise and way more of my hits and pretty much every home run come with early or late. GOOD = foul balls.
