Does anyone else always get killed by the suicide squeeze? In my offline franchise within the first 30 games (none simulated) ive been burnt by the cpu laying down the squeeze atleast 10 times, perfect bunt mo play at home or any bag..getting kind of frustrating as it always happens late in close games. I've even had the cpu lay down back to back squeezes successfully twice

Re: MLB 15: The Show Q & A Thread
I've been using directional aka timing hitting forever. I understand it has a shorter timing window to make it more difficult. I've experimented a bit with zone hitting which leads to my question which might be hard to word...
How much do ratings affect zone hitting? Are there times when a good hitter gets a hit when you messed up or a bad hitter gets weak contact when you appear to square it up? It seems like the contact rating doesn't matter much, only power when I use zone. A line drive is always going to be a line drive if I square it up, just how far is it going to go. Is that right?Comment

Yes you can. The game will only allow you to though when it's a close play. For instance, you can't challenge any call you want. You have to wait for the prompt. I am playing 15 on PS3. I just bought a PS4 Saturday but I am keeping the PS3 version and playing that. My next The Show purchase will be for PS4.Comment

Re: MLB 15: The Show Q & A Thread
Is there a way to speed up the pitcher running to first? I've been playing a lot of RTTS on my Vita as a SS, but recently I've realized that when a perfect double play ball is hit to the first baseman, the pitcher - for whatever reason - can never make it to first on time. My relay seems perfect and there's a little lag or hesitation when my pitcher heads to first.
Any way to fix this? I noticed it a bunch last night.Comment

Re: MLB 15: The Show Q & A Thread
So I am new to the game... I haven't played a baseball game in forever!
I am playing as a CP for the Diamondbacks AAA teams.
I was wondering if I should train the K/9, H/9 HR/9 and all those stats that say "your ability to do this and that". They seem like stats that are more important for CPU players.
So far I've only been training my stamina, pitch types and a little bit of fielding.
So should I train those stats as well?Comment

Also adding a question; Which pitching control method is better/more comfortable? I use the Pulse one, which seems to work fine and I like it, but is it the best one? or it doesn't really matter?Comment

Re: MLB 15: The Show Q & A Thread
So no sounds of the show in 15 ?
I'm doing some house cleaning on my roster and gasped for air when I seen my prized prospects were not protected under my 40 man roster.
-If I put a player thru waivers can the CPU claim them ?
-When would we have this option to claim theirs ? Only during the Rule 5 draft ?
Very curious ab the removing a player from the 40 man roster. I understand there's a Rule 5 draft in December. Is that the only time ? Any information would be great. Thank youI play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.Comment

A player that has no options left must pass through waivers. Those with options do not...you can move them at will. A player that has to be passed through can be claimed at any time.(that's what the waiver is...the 3 days for teams to put in claims).
The 40 man is different.....those that are Rule V eligible(it will say so on the player card...the same page that has the options and such....) and are NOT on the 40 man are eligible to be drafted in the off season draft which is in January, I believe. It's not a claim process...it's an actual draft. Any player chosen by a team in that draft, must be on that teams 25 man roster for the entire season or must be returned to the team that drafted him.

Hey thanks for your qwik response Knight.
So I removed 6-7 players that were in the minors already off the 40 man roster. Now they have a W by there name for waiver. But they cannot be picked up until the December Rule 5 draft correct ?I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. It's only when they are placed on the 40 man roster....that they cannot be drafted in the Rule V(OR if they are not yet Rule V eligible(4-5 years from when they are initially signed...start looking at age 23-24 on the player card to see if they say Rule V eligible:Y/N)

No.....when you put them through waivers.....they CAN be picked up by any team for 3 days until they pass through.
