Absolutely train them. K/9 will get you more swings and misses, H/9 will decrease the number of hard hit balls, BB/9 I think will let you hit the sweet spot easier on your meter or whatever you use. The only one there's been some question about is HR/9. But definitely train the rest.

Can someone tell me what these 2 yellow lines are for on the scorebug?

Are they just for style or do they have meaning?

That shows you have the ability to challenge. If you used it the line would disappear.

If the CPU can not challenge then why do they also get a yellow on the scorebug?

OH! Thanks a whole bunch dude! I use the Pulse method. Meter wasn't bad, but it felt a little off.

Twice now, every time I get to All-Star ++++ in dynamic difficulty with pitching, the very next inning I am back to All-Star + regardless what happened. I've given up a hit and the next inning, I am back down. I have gotten the comp out 1,2,3 and the next inning, I am back down. Is this a glitch? Seems like the game won't let me get to legend. Help! It's a bummer to have all the 3 stars erased.

All Star + is the next level after All Star. I am not sure what you are asking but that is the way it is supposed to be.

                        Rookie +
                        Veteran
                        Veteran +
                        All Star
                        All Star +

You earn "+" or "-" in between each level to show how you are progressing. So in other words, at All Star you begin earning "+" marks if you are playing well. Once you play well enough and earn the 4/5 "+" marks you improve to the next level which would be All Star +.

I want to make my 25 man, 1981 roster of my Montreal Expos and play them in a season vs today's MLB teams. I want to see how they'd fare.

Will this work in mlb 14 or mlb 15 the show?

So it doesn't go to Hall of Fame next? Does it work the same for hitting? I just figured after I get All Star ++++, the next level is Hall of fame. Pretty confusing IMO. Also, if that is indeed the case, why do I continue to always go back to All-Star +? Twice now, I have advanced to All-Star + and every time I get to 4 +s, I got right back to All-Star + again. I seem to be caught in a vicious circle. I never go back down to All-Star ++++ and never advance to Hall of Fame.

EDIT so I switched to Hall of Fame for an inning and then back to Dynamic to try it once more. This time, it worked and now I have progressed to Hall of Fame. Weird little glitch but hopefully, it's fixed now.

FWIW, I'm pretty sure I saw the dynamic difficulty indicator displayed as a progress bar in the first '16 stream last week. I agree that the current way can be confusing (especially to explain), and apparently the devs did too.
