    Re: MLB 15 first plans?

I wasn't sure where to put this, so I'll put it here.. for all those who are going the digital DL route (Like me)... I just found out the correct wire DOES make a difference. Now understanding that residential internet speeds max out at 100baseT (Gigabit is really only used for businesses right now as standard, with the exception of Google Fiber, Hoz is lucky) lol. ANYWAYS.... my internet was getting kind of slow for some reason... SO, I realized I have a Cat5 wire going from my modem to my router... I JUST NOW replaced it with a Cat6 cable.. and the speed is noticeably improved. I originally just thought it was theory, but it actually made a difference. Just ran a speed test and my DL speed is pushing 60 Mbps, and my UL speed is almost 7Mbps. Much better than it was.

      1. Open my card packs.

      2. Import my 2014 RTTS players (1B, CF, Closer)

      3. Play a couple quick games with the Cardinals to get familiar with the changes and maybe try the new directional hitting.

Pre-loading so I can play at midnight. Will probably fire up one game and then go to bed. Always play Yankees vs. Red Sox in Yankee Stadium as my first game.

I'm thinking my first game will be a late afternoon game Steven Strasberg vs King Felix at Nationals Park. Got to see the day to night transition.

I'm a newbie here. What is OSFM and why are people waiting to get into a serious Franchise before this "drops"?

Starting a serious Cubs Franchise is the first thing I want to do on the 31st!!!

Stands for "Operation Sports Full Minors."

Check out the roster section, plenty of info there.

Full minors roster set. I'm not going to wait on it this year, it's my first year on PS4 so I'll play a few exhibitions and start my Cubs dynasty and a 2B RTTS

                  Re: MLB 15 first plans?

Ill probably play an exhibition game of Braves vs Nationals, has become my traditional start, doesnt matter which team I play as, just as long as its those two teams. Then I might import my Twins franchise from 14 to play around with but as much as I would love to just continue this one, I really want to start a new franchise since they have made a lot of moves this year, mainly a new manager.

Go through all the batting stances and equipment for a while to get a feel for what I will want to use for the Cubs' OSFM players. To be honest my most anticipated "features" every year are the new batting/pitching animations.

After that I'll probably mess with diamond dynasty in between working on OSFM. I never start RTTS or franchise without OSFM.

I will play some exhibition games, and I usually use the minor league teams to do play with mostly. I always hate to play much with my Reds until OSFM is out, that way it takes time during Spring Training for me to figure them. I typically don't play a lot until OSFM drop, but once they are out, its basically the only game I play until basketball starts up in the fall, and even then I play MLBTS quite often even thru the winter months.

After I play a quick game, I'll probably load up my franchise from 14 that I just created, with the express intent of exporting players to a new roster set. It wont be OSFM, but I can usually make a decent set with top 5-10 prospects from each team. Being able to export from franchise this year will make it easier.

Start playing my franchise games and tweak any sliders that need to be for this years game. I really anticipate very little changes overall to the sliders. I expect fielding sliders to be tweaked for both the outfield and infield (now separate sliders, which is awesome) and base runner speed. Minor tweaks at the most. They always have this game tuned so well out of the box. I will do this for both traditional style games and Quick Count games.

That is so true, the game hardly ever needs massive slider tweaks. I look forward to your impressions on the game next week!

Play a Dodgers/Padres game, then import some prospects over from my 2014 season so I can get my 2015 franchise started.
