I'd like to be able to play a bunch of games and have a fair amount of Injuries compared to what the cpu gets during simulated games. Last year I came up with a system to manually injure random players but would be cool if the injury system is much more realistic this year.

Did they fix injuries in the game this year?
As we all know, the injury slider affects simmed games far more than in played games. You rarely see an injury in game, but a TON if you sim games. And if you do see one in a game you play they are always "hamstrings" according to the announce crew.

Are you sure it was broken. Last year my buddy and I were seeing none, so we raised it and low and behold half his team gets hit by the injury bug withing 2 weeks of games.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”

In years passed I moved the injury slider up one and have always seen more injuries than on default. And I play every game.Comment

On a side note, my one gripe with injuries, from my experience, is that 98% of the injuries my team has experienced has been position players. Very rarely does a pitcher of mine get injured.Comment

My experience couldn't be further from yours. I like having to test my depth and minor leagues, so I usually up the injury slider a point or two. I would get a player injured pretty regularly, sometimes the announcers would say it was relatively minor, but other times they said something like "this doesn't look good, he could miss significant time" or something like that. I've found myself lowering it back down to default and I've been seeing far less.

Re: Did they fix injuries in the game this year?
It was my experience that injuries happened to my team way more if I simulated games. But that isn't to say I never saw one in a user controlled game. But the ratio was a lot different. Just look at the number of injuries your minor leagues go through if you are simming those games.

From what I remember.....it is different...but the slider does effect both simmed and played games.
I used a different injury slider set for simming my games and playing them.

This! This is what I'm referring to. It's a pain to remember to change your slider setting for simmed games versus played games. If you put the slider maxed out and play a game, I'd say chances are about 30%-40% of seeing an injury. But SIM a game with the injury slider maxed and I can all but guarantee you there will be an injury on one of the two teams. And definitely will see a TON for minor league games!

Re: Did they fix injuries in the game this year?
I mean if I have to just work my own manual injury system with 30 team control like last year I will, I was just wondering if it was fixed. I enjoyed the system I came up with last year anyway cuz I got to know who was injured throughout the league rather than only knowing if my team had an injury or not.

Never saw an issue with a lack of injuries though I did increase the slider to 6 or 7.Comment

That always been my gripe is you don't see enough pitchers getting injured, and considering they drop like flies now days the devs should tweak it so its more realistic in the game.
Over the years with this game, you have always had to bump up the injury slider to see many injuries at all. That 1st season I aways follow what is going on IRL,( best feature they ever put in besides quick counts, imo) but after that 1st season I have always had to crank up the injury slider to have injuries at the big league level. In the minors you do see more injuries in the game though, and for simmed games its best to turn it down when simming minor league games, or they will fill up all the injury slots, lol.Everyone who exalts themselves will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted- Luke14-11

Re: Did they fix injuries in the game this year?
I found the injury slider at 7 gave me highly realistic results for both positional and pitchers.
I have never had an issue with realistic injuries on The Show. What I do hope for in the future is rehab assignments, and injury effects on season and career performance. Now Playing on PS5:
