Framerate?

MLB 15 is going to be my first the Show game since I just got a PS4 and mainly play PC games. That said I don't like playing games that run in 30fps, they're choppy and just not a joy to play. Anyone know what framerate this game runs at? I'm hoping 60.

By most accounts it is a solid 60fps, which definitely was not the case last year. No official confirmation though.

That makes me super excited. The reason I asked is that I was watching a gameplay series of road to the show mlb 14 and I noticed a ton of hitchiness and choppiness and was hoping this wouldn't be the case in 15.

Yeah, most of the frame rate dips in '14 occurred in cutscenes involving the crowd, which seemed to drag the game down to around 20fps. This was a huge concern for me this year as well, but based upon observations from those who have the game already, this has been fixed/optimized.

Thanks for the reply. Thats very reassuring. I haven't played a baseball game in more than 10 years. The 31st can't come fast enough.

I am a fan of the show but I also play other games. If you expect true 60fps like in PC games you might be disappointed.
However, the game is a thing of beauty and it was easy for me to ignore the few framerate hiccups after the first 60 minutes.

The game has horrible frame dips when installing as it lets you play a game between Royals at Giants and that will scare many but rest assure that once installed the game runs very smooth.

Much smoother then last year but no way this is locked all times at 60FPS

Ya I agree it's waaaay better than last year but it definetly dips very slightly in certain cut scenes but you have to really be looking for it. The best news for me however is that the terrible jaggie shadows that popped up in 14 during cuts scenes where the frame rate dropped are gone.

Yeah, in 14 sometimes the shadows were sharp and sometimes they looked really pixelated. They probably refined how the game manages resources.

I *just* picked up a PS4 and MLB 15 (it's a system seller for sure!).

Seems I'm getting a lot of choppiness. Could anyone offer me a suggestion why this might be?
