I was watching someone do the RTTS draft and they now have a fast forward button to get to your player no matter the round, so if you don't want to listen to all those names you don't have too which is very nice IMO.

Ugh, I was hoping RTTS would actually get some proper love this year, outside of visual tweaks and the occasional small addition (extra commentary, a handful of cutscenes) they've done nothing with the mode in years.

There was nothing in the fact sheet this year mentioning changes in RTTS except licensed equipment so I am not sure why you would be hoping for more.

That said, last year saw several changes to RTTS. The showcase games were new. The draft was new. They complete redid the points systems and got rid of the "goals".

I got the impression watching the stream that the team only has enough time and manpower to tackle bigger upgrades to only one or two game modes every year and that they kind of alternate between RTTS and Franchise (which had quite a few improvements this year).

Thank goodness, because no matter what round I was taken in I always seemed to be picked 27th or 28th.

So on my second year on the Dodgers (continued save) and I was just marveling at the recent trades we made. Got troy tulowitski and wright, some good pitching then bang they trade puig. Lol damn it man

The Dodgers in my RTTS have Wright as well, they still have Puig and Kershaw in 2018 as well. I save after every game in case I get one of these dumb trades, and hope a reload of the game keeps it from happening.

Had a pitcher in 14 who dominated. I want more of a challenge so I'm going to go with an every day player at a higher difficulty.

Also he pitched for the Yankees. Gross.

Could somebody give me some advice for allocating flex points to a corner outfielder in order to have a good showcase? I can build the type of player I want later so whatever makes me good in the showcase, I'll use. Really want that A potential haha

Transferred my RTTS over from 14 with no issue. In the 2015 season with my third baseman for the Twins. Good news on the schedules. My 2015 season has the screwed up schedule with the weird off days, but I simmed ahead to 2016 and the schedule returns to normal. Monday and Thursday off days. Glad I don't need to restart now because of the schedule.

I didn't save the sim as it was just for testing, but interesting to note that in the 2015 offseason I was traded to the Yankees. Don't remember seeing offseason trades in RTTS in the past.

I really can't say how much the improved load times helps this mode. It used to seem like I spent almost as much time in loading screens than I did playing my player. In 14 I would not even bother with pinch hit appearances for that reason. I played some at lunch and I roughly count 13 second to get into the game after hitting Play Next Appearance.

Stat increases from licensed equipment are not showing a number change in the training screen. Just says whatever the increase was in parentheses but the actual number doesn't increase.

That's most likely because it's the equipment giving you a boost, which is only temporary if you unequip it.. Which is why your actual stats/skill doesn't increase on the screen. Whether or not the increases take, I don't know

I have 3 players I carried over from '14: a SS with the WhiteSox, a 3B with the Astros, and a CF with the Rockies. I've played a little of each today. Definitely going to make some new ones, thinking a 2B and also a corner outfielder. I like middle infield and I'm getting slightly better in the outfield.

Gonna try to pick up the game this weekend, money is a little tight right now.

I'll be carrying over my CF for the Royals who is in his 6th year right now. I'm actually in the middle of the season. I might try to finish off that season before I carry over.



Can anybody tell me, since nobody would answer me on the streams/the Q&A thread: Did they finally make the Transactions menu viewable year-round in RTTS? Rather than just in the offseason? They made improvements to the transactions menu in Franchise so I was hoping that they might have fixed this finally.
