Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
Restarted my speedy CF, Elvis Money, from scratch in MLB 15.
Maxed out Contact and Speed.
Killed it the showcase and was chose as the third pick in the first round. But the reason I restarted him is because I wanted to be on the Cardinals so I loaded the save again and chose them as my team.
Started with Dynamic hitting. When it got to Veteran+ I locked it there while I got some practice. The player started with 90 speed and I have +7 speed boost in equipment so I am hitting tons of doubles and triples and stealing bases almost at will. I may have to let Dynamic Difficulty start scaling up again at some point but I like doing so well in the minors, and hopefully hastening my promotions.
I have said it again but I will shout it from the rooftops
THANK YOU DEVS FOR SPEEDING UP THE LOAD TIMES!!!!! It is so much more pleasant to play weeks at a time when the load times go as fast as they do.Comment

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
I've played 25 games so far and only unlocked 1 piece of equipment, and I think like a crappy card of some guy. But I wasn't sure if that was from RTTS or just for logging on or from playing Challenge of the Week, I can't remember.
But my point is... all I've got are 2 gloves (1 from the loyalty bonus and one unlocked), no bats, no batting gloves, and no cleats, and the 1 ritual item also from the loyalty bonus. I'd really like to stop wearing generics as soon as possible. Even if it's just the lowest level of gear, it would be cool if they'd start you out with 1 of each equipment type so you didn't have to use generics.
It's especially weird because I carried my guy over and I'm in my 6th season, probably going to win my first MVP this year, been to like 4 all-star games, and I'm still using generic equipment while scrubs are decked out in all custom gear lolComment

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
Okay update for my 1st baseman, so after an awesome 6 weeks in AA I get called up to big club ( Cardinals ) in middle of May 2015. As a previous post above about Mike Adams he was optioned to AA while I was installed as the MLB starter at 1st base. When you come to a fork in the road, take it..... Yogi Berra
Boise State Broncos
San Francisco 49ers
St. Louis Cardinals
Chicago Blackhawks
Los Angeles Lakers

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
Love the addition of authentic gear. Such a small thing that really makes RTTS pop. Also I love that my guy has a multicolored beard. I'm not sure if that was always a known thing but I am happy I finally figured it out.

I am personally glad I got the anniversary edition because those 15 card packs were a nice jump start. You can buy a pack with 1,000 stubs once you earn that many. There is no guarantee you will get a RTTS item but the odds will be much better.
Oh, you will also earn a pack for every 9 days played (I think it is 9).Comment

It is definitely random. You could get a player card (Diamond Dynasty), a stadium (DD), Equipment (RTTS) or Sponsorship (Franchise).

Does anybody know if you always earn them "in order" or if you can just luck into getting a piece of Diamond equipment. Not talking about pulling them in cards because I know that's all random, but as far as earning them through just playing the game.Comment

An hour or 2 after I made that post I finally unlocked a bat. It was the lowest one on the totem pole as far as stat boosts.
