Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
Anyone been traded more than once in a season? I got called up from AA in the first season the day after the AA allstar game. I spent 9 days in San Diego before they shipped me to Atlanta. I thought ok cool, I didn't ask for a trade but ok. 3 weeks later ATL trades me to the Dodgers. The deadline has since passed so I'll at least finish the season here. Anyone else have this happen without requesting trades?
Nope, unfortunately I was drafted by the White Sox and had to spend 9 seasons in that miserable organization before I was able to leave via FA. I asked for a trade at least once a month.

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
Drafted by the Pirates in the 3rd round as a RF. Trying to make my guy in the Stanton or Heyward mold. Just started July hitting .395 6 HR and 41 RBI. Also have 13 stolen bases. I have gotten much better with the outfield camera not making nearly as much errors as in the beginning. I think I am gonna be the RF of the future for the Pirates, hope that McCutch and I can be superstars beside each other. I am hitting well so using my training points to upgrade my arm, fielding, and speed right now. Hope to get called up to AAA soon.Comment

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
I created a SS got drafted early 1st round by the Giants. It's only the middle of May played 28 games so far and I'm leading AA in BA (.487) HR (8) RBI (26). This is my first time buying the show in over 3 years so I'm loving the game so far!
Only thing is my team is 1.5 GB in our division and about once I week I sit for a game and we always lose just kinda annoying cuz we lose our momentum.Comment

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
Welp just made my major league debut 5 minutes after posting my update. It turns out I make my first start against my hometown and favorite team, the Braves. Teheran is on the mound and my first at bat is a line drive right at 2nd. Teheran proceeds to strike me out twice on curveballs both times. 4th time up I hit a shot that literally hit the yellow at the top of the wall for a RBI double. This chased Teheran and the Braves pen gave up his 3 run lead. Looks like I took the starting job from Polanco.Comment

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
First time I've picked up "The Show" and loving it so far, although I'm stuck at an interesting point. Have made a power hitting 1B that got drafted really late by the Red Sox.(Took me a while to figure out hitting).
Currently lead AA in BA, Hits, RBI, HR, Doubles, Slugging. My potential is only at a D even though my adjusted overall is like an 89. I really don't want to ask for a trade, but I know my only chance of making the show is if Ortiz drops dead.
Surprisingly I haven't made AAA yet either even though I'm dominating the guy that is starting AAA at 1B.Comment

Ortiz starts at DH, so you're actually trying to take Mike Napoli's job. Ortiz will probably retire after the end of this season anyway (in the game, I dunno about real life. He's still playing at a high level).
What's your actual overall?Comment

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
They actually have Ortiz starting at 1B and Napoli as MLB Bench player in my season.
Actual overall is about 71...somewhere right around there.Comment

Re: MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
I'm guessing since DH isn't a listed position, and Ortiz is listed at 1B, it says he's starting at 1B but really he's starting at DH.
Do they have 2 players listed as "MLB starter" for 1B?Comment

Re: Official MLB 15 : Road to the Show Thread
First time playing at as pitcher. I started out originally as a closer with Diamondbacks but got bored. So I switched to a starter. Was drafted in the third round by the Angels. My first start I pitched a complete game shutout. I had 10 starts in AA with a 7-1 record. 1.60 ERA, 2 complete games & 70 strike outs with only 9 walks. I was called up to AAA & I've struggled. I'm 0-4 in my first 4 stars with a 4.09 ERA. My last start I went 6 1/3 without giving up & hit until I gave up an inside the park home run. Then the next guy reaches on an error & I get pulled. I was playing on All Star throughout AA & then switched to HOF when I went to AAA. Might switch back to All Star. It's still more fun than using a hitter all the time.
