Re: MLB 15: The Little Things Thread

Saw a fan fall onto the field trying to catch a ground foul ball. Never saw that before.

It may just be me, but the dynamic pitch breaks seem to make a huge difference. No two pitches are alike. I threw 10 straight 4-seamers with Buchholz just to see if it was "dynamic." Sure enough, couple of them had a wicked tail on them and some were flat.

I thought maybe it was location based at first (maybe throwing off the plate to a lefty would produce the tail consistently as opposed to throwing inside). But it honestly felt like they were organic pitches that had "life."

King Felix was dealing at comerica and had just rung up his 10th batter. As he came off the mound at the end of the half inning he was walking towards the dugout and removed his hat and was looking at it. Then while "distracted" he realized he was nearing the chalk line and did this awkward looking hop/jump over the chalk.

3rd base coaches picking up foul balls and underhand throwing them to the crowd

Took Verlander's 2nd pitch of the 1st inning deep off the left field foul pole with Jackson, after I rounded the bases a new ball was thrown to verlander and he slowly rolled it around in his grip, inspecting it, then he chose to throw it back for another one. When he got this one he again inspected it for a long while before deciding it was ok. He was killing the momentum and taking his sweet time to regain his composure.

Felix lost his magic at the start of the 8th and loaded the bases. In come Furbush who got the first batter to pop up behind home, K'ed the 2nd batter and got the 3rd to fly out to RF. His fist pumps leaving the mound matched my own.

        Next game Cle @ NYY
Got my first two batters on board and Brantley went deep on Tanaka. Loved Tanaka's frustration.

Cutscene showed Girardi standing behind players on the rail, motioning them to get back down and he was being ignored. Just shrugged his shoulders after the 2nd request was ignored.

so much cool stuff is going on they need to patch this so we can watch every foul ball to termination

I liked the fact that you could play a demo game while the game was installing.

Do any of you who played the demo (KC vs. Giants), know how to change the pitch break to the trajectory that was used during the demo game?

Posted this in the RTTS thread. Forgot there was this thread.

Hit a ground ball straight up the middle skipping over the mound. Actually hit the 2nd base and bounced straight back toward the mound a couple feet and rolled to a stop. Was able to run it out before anyone got to it.

Never saw that before in a game.

The crowd congregates in the lower deck, around home plate during pre-game batting practice.

The player emotions in real-time, before even going to the replay or cutscene.

This is so true. Really gives you the feeling that you can put a fastball on the outside corner and get it to tail back into the zone. No better feeling that catching a hitter looking on a fastball that just nips back to catch the zone.

I was watching a stream yesterday. The player was playing RTTS and he was on 2nd base. Something came up where it said he was able to tip pitches to the batter. Can anyone confirm this?

I got to see that in my first exhibition game cards vs dodgers, adams took Kershaw deep to center. also looks like they recaptured Molina's batting stance.

Playing RF in RTTS. Top of the 9th up by 1 and a guy smokes one to the wall. I leap and it bounces out of my glove and lands on top of the wall where it stays. The announcer freaks out and we lose. Sucked but was pretty incredible to see.

Was on defense & the batter laid down a bunt to advance the runner. When the pitcher fielded the ball he had his back to the first baseman so he just underhanded lobbed it backwards instead of turning to face first base.

Had the game go to a random cut-scene where a beach ball fell onto the field at Safeco. I thought it was pretty cool.
