I can't say I watched the highlight reel every time but it was a cool feature. I'm just shocked that it was removed when people are requesting more postgame presentation. Now there isn't any except the player of the game I assume.

This will be the first year it hasn't automatically played.

It didnt autoplay in 2014. Not for me anyway.

Hopefully the tools are still in the game to create our own highlights (particularly the "pause recording" button on the replay screen which enabled camera cuts). Obviously the vault is and we have PS4's video capture and ShareFactory, but there were a lot of shots in those auto-reels that you just couldn't duplicate with the replay vault. I'm the type that will still keep a record of the memorable plays and performances I'm sure to have with this year's game. But there was just something about the game taking care of all that. The logic that went into picking out the best plays was more often than not spot on - as a result of tuning the feature for many years.

I've mentioned it on OS before but I will say I'd LOVE some pre-canned camera angles added to the replay vault. I really enjoy making my own videos. But I agree it's currently very limiting.

A lot of times I just can't get the angle I want.

Agreed. At least allow us to view our replays from a broadcast camera....not just a camera that we position where we want it. The best option is sometimes locking onto the ball and following it but then the balls moves into areas on the field where the camera cannot follow and it unlocks again.

This is truly disappointing as I still have a lot of highlights saves on my PS3 from a few years ago that I pull up from time to time. SD studios is usually pretty good about not removing components.

I for one am sad to hear it's gone. I always watch the highlight reel, even when i lost the game.

I agree. I mentioned this to them a while back. MVP baseball actually had the ore canned angles for replays and they were sweet.

I do feel bad for people that had good luck with them and liked them. But the highlights just weren't varied enough and offered (to me, at least) no additional feeling of a sense of accomplishment.

The idea is good in theory but I personally didn't feel like it was ever executed very well.

I agree 100%. Don't get me wrong, I do feel for those that have lost a feature that they love so much, but the highlight reel was rather weak in my opinion, and didn't represent key moments in a 9 inning game very well. I liked the concept, but I don't know, I always found myself pressing X just to get back to the menu. There's gotta be a reason they ditched it for the most part. Who knows, maybe something better is in the works for future iterations. Nonetheless, its an interesting development.

Exactly. It was an awesome feature. I enjoyed watching highlights from old games I played, not always remembering the outcome and then being surprised. Heck, I used to import them into my editing software and speed them back up so they played in real time. No real highlight recap plays everything in slow motion anyway. they looked great. Dangit!!

I don't always have a bath in lieu of shower. But I enjoy the fact that I have the option.

Silly decision. Hopefully they can re instate it with a patch.

Am I the only one in this thread that remembers how the game would crash on a considerable basis during the highlight reel in 11-13?

Perhaps it's just an OCD streak in me but since losing several full games during the highlights, I X through them. Always. Without question.

It just wasn't worth the possible ramifications.

I do feel bad for people that had good luck with them and liked them. But the highlights just weren't varied enough and offered (to me, at least) no additional feeling of a sense of accomplishment.

lol what no. I know there was 1 year like that but just one year not 3 years and they patched it that 1 year and I never had that problem.
