He eventually gave in and quit. The bug is awful.

Lol. Thanks. I don't even have another ps4. Figured if I reacted calmly he would believe that I did. He bought it and quit after saying some stuff that didn't even make sense.

He tried doing a friendly quit in the sixth when I was up 6-2 so I knew he would do something.

Any one else experiencing pitches lagging/warping when batting?

My experience is in about 30% of online games about half the pitches look like they are going to be way outside then the ball vanishes then ends up in the strike zone giving me no hope of identifying or reacting to the pitch.

Has anyone else experienced this or know the cause or a solution?

I actually had this happen on 2 pitches in a DD game I played two mornings ago against someone from South Korea (who ended up becoming a friend and we play some friendly exhbitions as he is a true sim gamer). But that was the only time.

Overall, after 4 weeks of daily play, online is vastly improved and highly playable. Are there lag moments and some weird things that happen?

Oh yeah. It still is there. I also know I see one thing while my opponent sees another. For example in a league game yesterday I turned a 4-6-3 double play and I saw that my throw to first beat out Pedroia by a good full step. But my opponent saw him beat the throw by a good step, step and half.

Also the play by play is off....and you have to be careful of thinking some balls are past outfielders on singles and then trying to stretch them to doubles and getting thown out. I have learned when it twitches or what not.....stay at first. Not worth the risk.

Also delays in baserunning online are quite annoying.

They have made huge strides (finally) online and the game is night and day from past versions online. But it still has a ways to go to catch up to Madden online. But this is a great new start.

They need to iron out bugs with online franchise. To me this is the biggest area of opportunity. I am playing online more than offline for the first time ever in this series history. And for good reason. Playing simulation baseball with sim players in a league is better than anything. It is highly addicting, highly rewarding and a true blast. And Diamond Dynasty has me hook line and sinker. It is what I evisioned when I first started playing this game and I want the full monty of what offline franchise offers.

I really hope some server side fixes can be made to enahnce and repair some of the quirky issues and bugs we are having with online franchise.

But overall after a month in, online get's a solid 7/10 rating from me.

I played 2 online games and never played another since..... I slammed back to back HR's with Rizzo and Bryant and he Quit. Second time i did it, i hit back to back with Rizzo and Bryant and then 1 with Lester and the opponent quit!

Now in August.....sadly I give the game 5/10 for online play. It has gotten worse and worse after such a promising start. The positive was it is playable more now than ever....but that is not saying a whole lot.

Just too many server issues, lag, freezing, glitchy play.

Online franchise is stale, predictable (just about every game seems to play out exactly the same with ridiculous dumb errors helping decide game after game after game, glitched base running controls I can list more....) and nothing...absolutely nothing like the glorious game this is offline. Online franchise needs to be like offline or I am not interested going forward.

Diamond Dynasty has been a lot of fun, but as I went higher the cheese fest began and turned me off big time.

Sticking with offline gameplay as it is the premier sports game franchise offline (along with NBA 2K).

My experience is that i went to Xbox One. This Franchise has been flushed down the dilly ever since 14, and slowly becoming Madden. Thank god that's over. I'll play 13 for RTTS. That's a great game, but they've watered this game down where you don't even see foul balls anymore. That's when you know they're in trouble.

My online experience has been frustrating, mostly in Diamond Dynasty. If you take an early lead, your opponent will quit. If you're in a tight ballgame, your opponent will find a way to cheat you in the final innings, usually by mashing buttons to disable your option to bring in a pinch hitter for your pitcher or other crucial game-changing decisions. Online players, unlike CPU, & unlike reality use completely unrealistic base running strategy, both when the ball is in play & on steal attempts. Any notion of competitive fair play is out the window. I have given up on it & strictly play offline now.

If you want to play users online I highly recommend you join an online league right here on OS. There are at least three still going strong.

Allow private, small (12 teams or so) DD leagues.
