My last update, I was 41-37 and leading the wildcard.

Now one month later we are 56-49, and still leading the wild card at the end of July! Plus, only 2 Games back of LAD for the west title. I still stand in amazement as just a season earlier this is a team that finished with just 64 wins.

The deadline as came and passed, and not until 2 days before, I decided to pull the trigger. I really was hesitant to make a big move, as my future is much stronger than the present. I didnt want to damage my farm for the chance of a one game wildcard. But in the 10th hour I made one move

Jake Arrieta from the Cubs, for 2B Tony Kemp (24yr,76ov,B-pot)

It was tough parting with Kemp, as he saw major playing time last season for injured players, and showed a lot of promise. Though my rotation needed the help.

I'm giving 30 team control a try, I've never done it before. It's a lot of work but I like the control/realism. I'm playing with the Mets. I beat the Nats on opening day in DC; Colon outdueled Scherzer. Lagares blasted a three run homer, Granderson hit a solo shot (both HRs were off Scherzer) and the Mets added another run to win 5-0. The Nats took the second game 3-2 as Strasberg outdueled deGrom. The third game was the best IMO.

In the third game, the Dark Knight rose. Yes, Matt Harvey returned to face Jordan Zimmerman. Harvey was electric. The former All Star put up seven shutout innings, striking out five and giving up five hits. In one of the cooler Show moments I've seen, Harvey had loaded the bases; Harper doubled, Ryan Zimmerman singled and Harvey unintentionally walked Wilson Ramos. Harvey had gotten two outs before walking Ramos, setting up a two-out, bases loaded jam. The Met were up 2-0. Harvey got a quick 0-2 count on former Met Matt Den Dekker. On the third pitch of the at bat, Den Dekker swung and missed striking out. As soon as the ump signaled the K, Harvey practcially went nuts, kicking his leg and pumping his fist on the mound before walking back to the dugout to end the bottom of the seventh. Harvey's excitement matched my own, as I pumped my own fist, lol.

The Mets, as usual, were unable to muster much offense. However (another awesome moment) the Mets only needed one swing of the bat in the fourth inning. Lucas Duda doubled, and on the next pitch, Curtis Granderson smashed a Zimmerman pich 400+ feet to center field. The ball hit off of an electric display of the Nats' park. The swing/hit was the most powerful I've seen in my time playing the show; Granderson just hammered the ball so hard that he almost fell over on the recoil. Granderson recollected himself, standing up and rounded the bases. To make the moment that much sweeter, the moment Granderson hit the ball, the camera shifted to cinematic mode (or whatever it's called.)

Alex Torres relieved Harvey in the eighth, producing a 1-2-3 inning with a flyout and stikeouts for the second and third outs. Jeurys Familia, who has been thrust into the closer role due to Jennry Meijia's suspension, worked the ninth for the save.

Next, the Mets travel to Turner Field to face the reeling Braves. Jon Niese takes the mound in game 1 to face Eric Stults. Fun fact: the Braves are 1-3 after being swept by the Marlins. Not a single Brave has hit a home run yet. Thanks to the Braves' bullpen blowing leads in all thee games, the Marlins are 3-1, and in first place in the NL East with the Mets right behind them at 2-1.

Update on My Brewers Franchise:
I decided to make another Rebuilding Move, this time centered around a recently improved Matt Garza.

The Milwaukee Brewers trade Matt Garza, CF Kyle Wren, and 2B Pete Orr to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for SP Jeff Hoffman (A Potential), and SP R.A. Dickey

Dickey was a Budgetary Balance, although I have no intentions of re-signing him in the offseason; rumors are he'll retire anyway.

With this Move, the Brewers look to have one of the Brightest Futures in Starting Pitching with Hoffman, in addition to Zach Davies, Kodie Modeiros, Shintaro Fujinami, Brandon Finnegan, Amir Garrett, Shohei Otani, and Taylor Jungmann. Otani looks like someone I might groom into a Set Up or even Closing Role. The Future is strong for the Milwaukee Brewers as they look poised for World Series Run about a year or 2 from today. Thanks to an array of moves, the GM has given the Crew Fans something to cheer about.

Date in Franchise is August 29th, 2015; Having Played Every Full Game on Full Counts
Currently sitting at 62-67

This will be my first post in this thread, as I think things like this are a great way to see how other people play the same games.

I am playing as the Detroit Tigers (hence the screen name). I do not play every game. Instead I alternate series (1 on, 1 off), dealing with any injuries off moves that occur. Currently, I'm sitting at June 29 - an off day - after winning three of four at home against the White Sox. Sitting at 50-27, 10 games in front of the Twins in the AL Central, the Tigers will host the Pirates (37-38) at home for three games. The first game will see Detroit's Justin Verlander (8-3, 3.02 ERA) against Pittsburgh's Gerrit Cole (4-6, 3.80).

So when I started my initial Cubs franchise, Schwarber, Bryant, and Russell were not even in the game so I decided to start over.

My current Cubs franchise got off to a terrible start. 8-17 through 25 games and last place. Pitching was bad, hitting was bad, and oh, the errors!

So, time to juggle lineups and make some trades. I made a minor trade in May to get some bullpen help and some help in the outfield (got Y. Petit and Gregor Blanco for Mike Olt and David Ross). I started sitting guys who can't field the ball (Starlin Castro for one), and things seemed to be turning around.

Now, we're 34-31 and 2.5 games behind an under-achieving Cardinals team. Not satisfied, I just made a blockbuster trade by sending Castro and couple of minor leaguers to SD for Justin Upton and some minor league pitching. Upton gives us a veteran to help all the rookies keep it together, and Castro never saw a ground ball he couldn't boot. And he wasn't hitting.

So, I'll have Addison Russell play short (his original position) and give Baez some time at 2nd. Lastella is a liability in the lineup anyways so he'll be on the bench.

Rizzo leads the league in HR and is second in RBIs. Bryant is right behind him in RBIs out of the 2-hole in the lineup. Cole Hammels leads the league in ERA and is second in wins. Arietta and Dan Haren are both struggling with ERAs over 4 and few wins. Hendricks is picking up the slack as the 5th starter. He might get the nod in the playoffs if we get there, and Haren in the BP.

Game 1 (of 3): Pittsburgh 1, Detroit 3 [F]

Detroit continued their successful June, ending the month with a 3-2 victory over the visiting Pirates. The Tigers got their run production in the first inning, thanks to the bats of Miguel Cabrera, Victor Martinez, and J.D. Martinez - each with RBIs to start of the game. Those three runs were enough for Justin Verlander (W, 9-3), who didn't have his best outing, giving up two runs on five hits over six innings, walking two and striking out three. But, even with Verlander not being at his best, the Tigers defense was there to keep the Pirates from doing any further damage. Joe Nathan picked up his 22nd save of the season to close out the game.

The Pirates got their offense from an Andrew McCutchen homerun - his 19th of the season - and an RBI singly be Neil Walker. Three of Pittsburgh's five hits were for extra bases: along with McCutchen's homer, rightfielder Polanco had a double, and designated hitter Lombardozzi added a triple. Outside of Cole (L, 4-7) allowing three runs in the first, the Pirates shut down the Tigers the rest of the way, striking out seven and only walking two.

With tonight's victory, the Tigers (51-27) pull out to an 11 1/2-game lead over the Twins in the AL Central. The loss puts Pittsburgh (37-39) now 13 games back in the NL Central, and currently takes them out of any Wild Card discussion. Tomorrow night the Pirates send Francisco Liriano (4-6) to the mound to take on Alfredo Simon (7-3) at 7:08 pm.

Game 2 (of 3): Pittsburgh 4, Detroit 0 [F]

After coming up short in the first game of the series, Pittsburgh's Francisco Liriano (W, 5-6) put the team on his shoulders and pitched a five-hit complete-game shutout. Even though he gave up nine hits and walked five - including a plunking of 2B Descalso, Liriano struck out 13 to lower his ERA to 3.92. Pittsburgh was able to connect with a number of Detroit's pitching tonight, hitting five doubles and a triple, racking up 10 hits along the way. Pittsburgh (38-39) moved to just under. 500 for the season, and kept the at 13 games back of the Cardinals in the NL Central. With the win - and a Cincinnati loss last night - the Pirates did gain a game on the Reds, now only nine games back in third place.

Detroit was able to get on base tonight, although managing one lone double by Martinez, they weren't able to get any of those across the plate. The lack of run support did not help Simon (L, 7-4) who gave up five hits over six innings, including a walk and four strikeouts. The loss brings the Tigers (51-28) back down to a 10.5-game lead over the Twins in the AL Central.

Tomorrow's rubber match will see Jeff Locke (PIT, 3-7) against Carlos Carrasco (DET, 6-4) at 1:08 PM.

*Injury update: Luke Gonzalez (AAA) sprained his knee, and will be out a few days.*

Game 3 (of 3): Pittsburgh 5, Detroit 4 [F, 11]

The Tigers looked poised to take the series victory this afternoon, leading the Pirates 4-1 heading into the top of the sixth inning. Up to that point, Carlos Carrasco (ND) looked in control. But the Pirates struck for three runs in the inning, causing Carrasco to be pulled from the game. RP Wilson came in to close out the inning; and then the game was left in Darren O'Day's hands. O'Day (L, 0-2) went three strong innings before allowing the game-winning run in the 11th. The hard-fought loss drops Detroit to 51-29 on the year, yet keeps them 10.5 games in front of the now-second-place Kansas City Royals. The Tigers will start a three-game home series against the Toronto Blue Jays (40-41) tomorrow night.

My Rangers Season.

Last game of Serie versus the A's. Bases loaded, 2-2 Top of the 7Th. Holland resposible for 2 players on bases and Freeman just walked the first batter he faced.

Gonna go ahead and start a fantasy draft Franchise until OSFM comes out. Ill let the CPU pick every playuer in the draft and then sim the first year completely and pick one of the 3 or 4 worst teams to take over. Also gonna try out a little generator i made for suspending players for PED use. Since the first ones in 05 there has been at least 1 every year. Right now i have it to where there will be at least one and no more than 3 every year. 48% chance for 1, 36 % for 2 and 16% for 3. Here is a pic of how it works.

In that case its two players so i take the top two of the 3 teams. Its player 20 for the Marlins so i open up the Manage Roster screen and go down the list of players sorted by OVR until i get to #20. Whoever that is i give an injury to. Ill follow the real life policy so if they have never been suspended before it will be 80 games. If it happens to be their 2nd its 162. And then lifetime ban for any 3rd offense. Ill apply the injury on whatever day the generator has.

I'm just now seeing this! This sounds like an awesome idea, and something that would add to the game. But, how do you figure percentages? How do you determine who gets suspended? Are their dice involved?

Game 1 (of 3): Toronto 8, Detroit 6 [F]

David Price took the hill for the Tigers, hoping to start off the series with a win against the Blue Jays. However, Toronto came in with some momentum, scoring seven runs off of Price in six innings of work. Price (L, 8-6) allowed 10 hits, and a walk, along with seven strike outs. The day got off to a bad start as the Blue Jays pulled out to a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the thirds; but Victor Martinez brought Detroit within one with a three-run blast that the officials needed to review before declaring a home run. The Jays scored another run in the 5th, but the Tigers answered back, ending the ending trailing 5-4. The sixth saw the Jays score two more runs that went unanswered in the bottom half. Leading 7-4 in the 7th, Toronto scored again off of Alex Wilson; but Detroit was able to gain that run back, bringing the score to 8-5. Blaine Hardy and Alex Cook did their parts, keeping Toronto from any further scoring, but Detroit was only able to gather one more run, in the bottom of the 8th, to close in at 8-6. The loss, Detroit's third straight, lowered their lead to 9.5 games in the AL Central. The win, Toronto's third in a row, kept them 10 games behind the New York Yankees in the AL East.

Mark Buehrle (10-2) got the win for the Jays, and Brent Cecil picked up his 26th save of the year. These two teams meet again tomorrow at 1:08 pm, as Toronto's R.A. Dickey (5-5) takes on Detroit's Anibal Sanchez (8-1).

Game 2 (of 3): Toronto 2, Detroit 8 [F]

There were plenty of fireworks this afternoon, as the Tigers hosted the Blue Jays on Independence Day. Detroit game into this game having lost three straight. Putting Anibal Sanchez, who game into the game leading the majors in ERA, had to give fans a little hope for turning things around. Sanchez (W, 9-1) furthered those hopes by giving up one hit over six innings of work, with 12 strikeouts, dropping his majors-leader ERA to 1.53. But, if pitching wasn't your thing, than watching the Tigers scored all of their eight runs off long balls might suit you better! Ian Kinsler, Miguel Cabrera, Victor Martinez, J.D. Martinez, and David Murphy all went long in this game; and Tornoto's Jose Bautista added his 21st homerun of year in the eighth inning. The win puts the Tigers (52-30) back up to a 10.5-game lead in the AL Central.

RA Dickey (L, 5-6) kept the Blue Jays close, only allowing a two-run homer to Victor Martinez in the 4th inning. Hoping to just get out of things, Toronto's bullpen gave up six runs over the seventh and eighth innings. Toronto falls to 41-42 on the year, 11 games back, and tied with the Boston Red Sox for second in the AL East.

The rubber game of the series tomorrow will see Toronto's Marcus Stroman (4-6, 4.78) take on Justin Verlander (9-3, 3.02) who is coming off in a win in his last start.

*Injury update(s): Christian Martinez (AA, Erie) sustained a pulled calf and will be out 2-3 weeks. He has been added to the 15-day DL. Ricky Jarrett (AAA, Toledo) sustained a flexor strain and will miss a few days of action. He will remain on the active roster.*

in May of 2016 just beat Dodgers 3 out of 4 games in a 4 game series at AT&T....game 3 LA brought a lefty in to pitch and I had Belt and Blanco on the bench so I pinch hit with MadBum and ended up pitching 1 relief inning (cuz he's a horse) next inning Tomlinson hit a walkoff! I'm tied up top the NL West with LA and SD even tho its only May....I am also raking with Crawford (.375) and Duffy (.315)

With 20 to play we are 4 1/2 behind the Reds for the Central division. We are out of the Wildcard Race, although not mathematically, but with 20 to play and 11 games back, I'm pretty sure we are.

Injuries, poor years by key guys, shady bullpen, and poor management, all have led up to this sub .500 season this year. We still have a chance as we have 15 games against the three teams ahead of us (Cin, Pit, Mil) and we are finally playing solid baseball as we've had the same lineup each day for the past two weeks, something we haven't had since April/May.

Ready to get our guys for the call ups, as we have some talent in the minors that may be able to really help us these last 3 weeks of the year.

Game 3 (of 3): Toronto 5, Detroit 4 [F]

Verlander looked good through the first 5.1 innings. In the 6th, Toronto scored our runs, as Detroit's defense was not playing its best today. Trailing 4-0 in the bottom of the 8th, Anthony Gose tripled to left field. Ian Kinsler grounded out to third, scoring Gose. The ending ended with Detroit trailing 4-1. In the 9th, Detroit brought in Tony Sipp. Sipp struck out Navarro start the inning; but then gave up a home run to Martin, putting Toronto up 5-1. Sipp was able to strike out the rest of the side. Needing four runs to tie, Victor Martinez struck out. J.D. Martinez hit a solo shot to left field. 5-2 Blue Jays. Josh Reddick singled to center. Alex Avila hit a ball to center that was misjudged, and wound up with a triple that scored Reddick from first. 5-3 Blue Jays. Daniel Descalso popped out to left field, tagging Avila from third. 5-4 Blue Jays. And, needing another baserunner, Anthony Gose popped out to shallow left field to end the game.

The loss brings the Tigers to 5-5 in their last 10 games, and lowers their lead in the AL Central to 9.5 over the Minnesota Twins. The win brings Toronto to 8-2 in their last 10, but keeps them at 11 games back of the Yankees in the AL East. The Tigers will head out west tomorrow to begin a three-game series against the AL West-leading Seattle Mariners.
