They should just ask the user if i allow a trade, for example if trout gets traded to another team(not the one im controlling) i should be asked and able to block it from happening. That way trades still happen among the cpu but im at least able to controll the unrealistic ones.

I started my franchise with OSFM and I play 1 out of every 6 days. STL just traded Waino for Gomez SMH

They have this in NBA 2k15 and I love it. Someone asked about this and Ramone said "that's what 30 team control is for." It makes sense but I'd like to control just 1 team with the ability to veto CPU trades. I don't mind lineups being different or Free Agency being CPU controlled for most teams, but I do mind when a team trades their best player for prospects in July when they're winning their division.

I do have to say that the trade logic is much improved this year. Hopefully they can throw in a Trade Approval option next year.

Agree completely with this. I don't need my franchise to mirror real life exactly and small deviations add life to the mode for me. On the other hand, it would be nice to have this simple tool to keep things that seem totally ridiculous to me from happening.

I just posted in the RTTS trade thread that the CPU has traded away 3 of the top 5 rated Cardinals in the first year.

            Lance Lynn
            Yadier Molina
            Adam Wainwright

I don't know if this has been addressed already but how come the CPU makes trades even when you turn OFF CPU trades when starting your season? It only happens in the offseason but there are a ton of trades and rarely are the trades being made realistic? I've seen the Dodgers (a year removed from making the World Series) trade Kershaw straight up for Verlander.

Is this solely a budget issue or is the CPU Trade option when setting up your franchise a meaningless option?

I think there is a bug with trades somewhere. The computer sometimes makes trades for the user as well.

I like the offseason trading, but I feel that sometimes it's just a shuffling of salaries, there doesn't feel as if there is a roster building plan.

Free agents are also being traded before they are signed and right after they are signed. Free agents in the past followed mlb rules in not being able to be traded until May 15th in the game, so I'm not sure if that is a bug as well.

I haven't tried RTTS yet, but I did a fantasy draft and decided to see how trading was there. First one made me want to quit. I was able to trade 1 for 1 Jurickson Profar for Jose Altuve, and I simply feel it was because Profar is A potential and Altuve was B potential. At no point would I ever consider that a fair trade.

Something like that would never happen.

Talk about an unrealistic trade pulled off by the CPU, it seems fun but nevertheless i will be vetoing it.

Sorry for the bump, but I wasn't sure where else to put this.

I'm playing with injuries off (probably the issue) and I'm now at July 30th in my dynasty. So far, there have been 0 trades between CPU teams. I simmed through the 31st just to see if anything happened at the deadline and there was one minor trade. So I do have CPU trades on.

CPU teams have offered me a handful of trades, and I've made a few during the season. It's not a huge deal, but it'd be nice to see some rebuilding teams move players to playoff push teams.

One of the reasons I control all 30 teams and enable trading when July starts. Star for Star trade though
