As litigious as people are willing to be when it comes to lawsuits & the legal system, I don't see how anyone can question the Show's decision to play it safe.

I'm surprised this thread has made it 6 pages long...
Surprised and amused.
To stay on topic though, I love how Wriggly looks this year, I can't wait until/if they have the dead ivy to begin seasons and watch that grow green throughout the year. One can dream for future installments.Comment

I still dont understand why everyone gets so defense about this. I'm not questioning SCEA's integrity or anything. It is a simple question.Comment

Right...so this is a forum...and when people got "pissy" about your little hissy fit over Wrigley...in which they were telling you why the changes had to be removed.....you are now going to tell people NOT to get on you about it?
What a joke.
I love when people post in a forum.....then question why others are replying to them(in any fashion) and use the "this is a forum" defense when trying to support their right to post.
Gotta love the internet!

Again, you seem really defensive about all this because my tone was very calm.
"They basically had it sorted out prior to the season.
It was really pretty silly of SCEA to take the whole thing out of the game. The rooftop owners were never going to go after a freaking video game.
The whole case was about the rooftop views being obstructed by the signs. Were they afraid the virtual rooftop owners were going to sue them?"
That is my original comment. It is a question. Then you began patronizing me and CountryBoy basically thinks that nobody else can possibly understand the rooftop situation as well as SCEA does.
If MLB asked them not to include it, then I understand. But as I said before, the question then turns over to MLB? Why was it such a big deal?Comment

Re: Updated Wrigley field ?
And legal safeguards are probably not from the rooftop owners. We all know how the MLB is about representations of their brand and image... so there's that (and not to say that's the reason). Erring on the side of caution, is best practice in this say and age of ridiculous lawsuits. Anyway, as we say in my industry, some things are strictly on a need to know basis.

Actually, you did get an answer. It may not have been the detailed explanation you were looking for, but that's what SDS offered us. Technically, they weren't obligated to share that much.

I think it is unnecessary, but I dont want anyone to freakout, so I will just go away now.
My biggest problem was with the posters on here acting like I spit in the face of their idols when I dared to question the whole thing.
People need to chill out. This is just a video game. lolComment

Re: Updated Wrigley field ?
I carried over my Cubs franchise from '14 and played opening day with green ivy, isn't April supposed to be when they are not green? Or maybe it had to do with my carrying over from last years version?Comment

Re: Updated Wrigley field ?
I started a franchise real quick to test it out and it had dead ivy in April.
And I did an exhibition game in October and it was dead then tooComment

Re: Updated Wrigley field ?
Might be an issue with your file?
As for the reason that the updated Wrigley was removed, my guess is that it was from either MLB or the Cubs themselves, as the renovations were not complete in time. Maybe the organization didn't want them "revealed" before they were actually built?
Just speculation though.Comment

I did a carryover franchise and the ivy grows in, which it didn't do last year.

Re: Updated Wrigley field ?
As a Cubs fan and who will play half of my franchise games at Wrigley, it is disappointing. But seeing how there were so many legal issues earlier with the rooftop owners and city, I can see why there was legal reasons for it not being in the game. They didn't even put up the new right field video board up until yesterday.Comment
