Re: Most Exciting Teams for Franchise Mode
Ive started multiple franchises. (franchise itus) I just cant decide. So far i really liked the Red Sox and Marlins. The Red Sox have a ton of good young players and i love the ball park but i couldnt win any games because their pitching is terrible and not winning isnt fun after a while.
The Marlins were a lot of fun too but I ran into injury problems with them early. Lost Stanton and hernandez for the year. Injury is at 6 on the slider and i didnt run into this with any other teams. Ozuna is a ton of fun to hit with and i like Latos.
Im going to try the Rangers next but i hate their old pitchers. lol I try not to do too many trades so that it changes the integrity of the real rosters but ill trade a couple of guys. So im not sure what to do.
Any suggestions. what teams are you guys using?Comment

Re: Most Exciting Teams for Franchise Mode
Having a hard time choosing between Mets and Dodgers.
Mets for reasons mentioned already and I like that they're somewhat financially limited.
Dodgers because they are my favorite team (but they're already loaded) and have a good mixture of veterans and young guys w/ pretty good farm system.
Using Y2Y really wants me to play as the Dodgers this year so I can carry over to next year. I might roll w/ Mets and then do a Dodgers franchise when I'm tired of playing as the Mets (after conclusion of 2015 season)?Comment

Ik the Blue Jays were mentioned in this, but I'm curious if anyone has been using them. They look good on paper,at least their lineup. Haven't played at Rogers centre I'm not really a fan of domes. Just curious what you guys think of them.Comment

Re: Most Exciting Teams for Franchise Mode
So, I've decided to give them a go and I have a feeling I will be sticking with them. I feel like I can go either way with Bautista, depending on what kind of season he is having and if I really want to keep him. I think with Reyes I will be trying to sell. I definitely want to give the rotation a makeover. I also like the tough division and the fact that they haven't won anything in 20 years. The Positive Sports Podcast~~~Tough Times Don't Last, Tough People Do~~~Ignore The Negativity, Be The PositivityComment

Re: Most Exciting Teams for Franchise Mode
Like many of us here I'm having a hell of a time choosing a team! It definitely has to be an NL team, the DH just isn't for me, and since I want to do a dynasty thread I don't want to pick a team already being used(knocks out my Phillies among others), so I've narrowed it to the:
Cincinnati Reds
New York Mets
San Diego Padres
Which of the three do you guys feel would offer the best story as far as a dynasty goes?Comment

Re: Most Exciting Teams for Franchise Mode
Need some help guys. Tried playing a bunch of teams and cannot decide at all who to run with. I will be using willards rosters so I need help. Only 3 must haves are a complete rebuild from top to bottom. Must be an NL team because the DH is boring and because I will play every game and carry this franchise over next season a cool stadium.Maple Leafs ][ Blue Jays ][ Raptors ][ Bears

The Phillies, Brewers, Rockies, Braves, and possibly the Reds. With that list, I'd go Phillies first, Rockies second.Comment

Re: Most Exciting Teams for Franchise Mode
I looked at the Rockies but they seem to be rated like 10th in the league as far as a franchise goes.... I don't know how much of a rebuild they would be..... Any thoughts ??Maple Leafs ][ Blue Jays ][ Raptors ][ Bears

Re: Most Exciting Teams for Franchise Mode
I never put much stock into those rankings, some of them seem completely off the wall. Colorado won 58 games last year, or somewhere thereabouts, and this year Kyle Kendrick is their ace? Tulo and Cargo are nice trade pieces no doubt, but in no way is this team anything other than a complete rebuild. Similar to Philadelphia and Milwaukee who both have some veteran talent to move for youth. Cincinnati is a tricky one. They're the best of the lot I gave you, but still a fading veteran club. The difference is they may have one more playoff run in them if they stay healthy for you.Comment

Re: Most Exciting Teams for Franchise Mode
You should go with the Orioles great hitters and you will most likely lead the league in Home runs with them. There pitching is okay but they can be enough for you to get by. Also you might want to consider the Nationals as well.Comment
