Do you guys play or sim?

Just a quick question, when your playing franchise how many of you play all the games or do you sim the season? Or do you do something in between? Don't know what to do.

I'd say that most people play 1 and then sim the next 5. This makes it so that you are using the next guy in your rotation each time you play the game, skipping a start inbetween.

There are some (like myself) that play all 162 now that you are able to continue your franchise in future games.

As do I. There's a great sense of accomplishment after hammering out 162 of these bad boys. Ill probably finish my Brewers season at some point in July, at that time ill play DD and do some short fantasy draft seasons.

I play about 25 games a season and sim the rest. What's the point of waiting for OSFM rosters if you're going to play all 162 games and then not play franchise mode anymore or quit the game completely?

I want to rebuild a bad team into a contender. 25 games is good and sim the rest while still managing your roster, lineup, rotation, scouting, etc.

I play all 162 games -- however, I use Quick Counts to speed things up a bit.

But I admit at times, in order to speed things up, I will sim a couple of innings during the game if I am pressed for time. Or if I have only like a 1/2 hour of playing time available, I will play all my hitting and sim the pitching in a game in order to speed it up.

But that's pretty rare.

Play em all here too, all 162, every pitch, every inning.

I couldnt bare the thought of any stat my players and team generate to not be "mine".

Play first game of each series, simulate remainder 2-3 games

I play one and sim three if I'm still in the race for a postseason spot. Let's me see every park, every pitcher in my rotation, and see my prospects develop. If I'm rebuilding and way back in the standings, I sim five for every one played and pray my young guys will be ready for Opening Day.

I'm too addicted to the team building aspect to play every game. I usually sim a LOT in the first few seasons while i'm working on tearing my team down and acquiring top draft picks and prospects. Once those young guys start realizing their potential I start playing a lot more games.
