Re: I SWEAR, the game cheats, or hates me.. LOL

Truth be told.. In 1970, I blew an opportunity to try out for the minor league. I had played 2b since I was 6 years old. Not bragging, But I was very good. All State through out my HS years. I was invited to a try out. Being young and stupid I decided I wanted to ride my MC all over the Country. Being young and cocky, I figured if i was that good, they would still want me the following year. That is one of the biggest mistakes and regrets of my life. The following year, the person whom invited me refused to even talk to me. No matter what I tried to do. They were not interested. I have regretted my decision every day of my life. Baseball was and still is my passion. 43 years since then, and it still haunts me. The good new is, for 9 years I had the opportunity to work for the Cleveland Indian's in the Club house at Winter Haven in Fla for spring training and provided entertainment for Fantasy camp. It was like a dream come true. Working with my hero's. I can not put into words how wonderful that was. Playing beside, working with, eating with, fishing with, parting with, and entertaining the players loved and grew up with. Woodie Held, Gary bell, Luis Tiant, Mud Cat Grant, Rick Manning, Max Alvis, Brook Jacoby, Bob Feller and on and on. spending the day with Jim Thome, C.C. Sabathia. and especially Joe Charboneau. My home is filled with uniforms, gloves, bats , hats, BB, everything you can think of. So in some sort of way. I was involved in Major league BB.. And I thank God for that.

But when I am up at bat, When I am fielding the ball, for me, for that split second, for that moment. IT IS REAL, I AM ALIVE, I am living my dream, my childhood, my youth. I feel the moment, the pressure, the excitement.. And I imagine I am a pro baseball player.

Awesome post. I find if the cpu is starting to grind out hits at the end I do lots of mound visits. Maybe it's in my head but when before my pitcher would be just outside the zone and after he'll start painting the black. This doesn't always happen so maybe it's in my head or maybe it's a calming thing who knows besides SCEA

although I have had some very questionable errors and plays happen this year on me. especially being camped under a fly ball for a long time for it to not be caught, that has happen a few times and even in back to back plays causing me to lose the game. but nothing so serious too start throwing controller and what not. the game plays too damn good to be really mad at it.
Certain things like that, dropped fly balls, just happen WAY too often this year. I can't remember the last time I saw a major league outfielder drop a fly ball after being camped under it. I've seen them lose em in the lights on very rare occasions but never just pop out of the glove as seems to happen with way too much frequency on this game.

Re: I SWEAR, the game cheats, or hates me.. LOL

Okay, this is game is getting weird and very questionable. Just last night playing my franchise currently on a 5 game winning streak with my cardinals, second game of the series against the Pirates, wainwright on the mound by the 4 inning my team had hit 7 doubles all to right center field 3 of them back to back to back in the first inning, cool.... up 4 nothing, pirates score 2 runs in the first, no big deal. then I start ripping some more double to right center field (thinking alright my team is crushing the ball) now I'm up 7 to 2. bottom of the 4 inning pirates batting all of a sudden Wainwright can't even record a out, my out fielders Holliday and Bourjos let routine grounders roll right past them to the wall on back to back plays one runs obviously scores 7 to 3 now, next batter walks runners on the corners, next batter hit a sharp grounder to Peralta for a easy double play, (wait nope.... peralta bobbles the ball no choice but to throw to first, CRAP!!! he air mails it to first) runners a 2nd and 3rd another run scores. 7 to 4 now no outs. Alverez come up to bat and smokes the ball to left field wall (not homerun distance) Holliday all over the ball misplays it ball hits the wall rolls towards center field Bourjos is right there to back it throws in to the cut off man, cut off misses the catch second fielder grabs the ball in the infield and throws it to Molina way wide Alverez score for a inside the park home run. (WTF) at this point I'm beyond disbelief so I just turned the game off. I wish I could say that this is just a rare instance, but unfortunately these weird and questionable errors have happen several times in MLB 15 and makes it hard not to question "what the hell is going on here"

I guess I should mention its not just weird thing that happens on defense with the errors and what nots but the 7 doubles to the same location is awful weird too, so it not just the cpu that is benefitting from unexplainable instances, the user also sees some of the benefits too.

Holy Crap, That is some serious bad luck. Bet you were angry, I have noticed a whole lot of era's since the patch. Bad throws, bobbled grounders, dropped pop ups. I have turned down the era slider and era's throw sliders. I think it helps, at least a little. Still adjusting. Hopefully Sega will adjust this in the second patch. I'm sure there will be one. They did the big things, now i think they will tidy up the little things. Human bunts are still ridiculous, Can't hardly make a mistake with them. Bunt late, bunt early, bad pitch, don't matter, still lay them down perfectly. And yes, I agree, WAY to many line drive doubles and very very few bloop base hits. I have always thought the ball comes off the bat way to hard and fast.

I agree the game can be very disappointing, As a matter of fact, I think I have experienced every emotion I know of playing this game. I have thought I have hit game winning Home runs, Jumped up screaming with joy only to see them make an unbelievable catch at the wall. Then set back down wondering what happened and speaking in tongues, calling the outfielder every name I can think of ( thinking he can hear me ) My wife thinks I am crazy as she will be watching TV and I will come hobbling ( I'm old ) out of my man cave, Hands in the air, pumping my fist, sometimes dancing around, other times swearing and ranting I'll never play that stupid azz game again.... Then... JUST LIKE YOU, 30 minutes later I"ll be back at it playing it again.. Don't ya just love it.. LOL

THIS^^^^^ so true, this game is a emotional rollercoaster the good and the bad. but I totally know what you mean, thinking you just crushed the ball out of the park to have it just fall short of the wall. I was playing a couple of weeks ago and did just that, crushed the ball and instantly threw my hand in the air and yelled "GOODBYE" then the ball fall just short, why wife start dying of laughter saying "burn......." "look at you getting cocky, and failed" (LOL that woman cracks me up, always there to put me back in my place.) but good call on adjusting the error sliders I didn't think to do that, I might just have to do that on my game.

Wow and here I was thinking last night that the game only hated me. I see I am not alone. In my game last night my usually reliable gold glove 3B threw the ball out of play for an error at a throw to first. Not to be out done, in the same inning my usually reliable gold glove winning 2B did the same allowing 2 runs to come in to score. But, my usually reliable gold glove winning SS did not want to be left out of the fun so he too threw the ball into the stands a few innings after that. I have a very tall 1B, but come on guys he's not 15 feet tall. Oh and my infield error throwing slider is a 2. The default is 5. My starting pitcher has had better nights, but he had no chance on this night when every one of my infielders decided to throw the ball away. The game was definitely showing plenty of hate last night in my 7-3 loss. Coincidence? Time will tell. I start a new series against the Giants tonight. :d

I also admit that I've had my rage moments...though I usually bury my face in my couch or bed and scream.

This is by far the funniest post I've ever seen though...I would love to be a fly on the wall to see this happen in real life; I'd love to see SCEA do a commercial about it (or maybe just a spoof on various rage moments that people have that make them play the game so much more).

I totally relate to the OP. This game has an awful sense of humor sometimes.

For me it was in MLB 13 the Show.

I traded a lot of my farm for Mike Trout (I was playing a two player franchise as the Marlins). I finally get him, and in his first game with me he gets some stupid broken leg or something like that.

He's out for the rest of the season (I got him in July).

At the end of the season he retires due to injury.

He played one game for my Marlins.

The players I traded for him ended up being incredible.

I haven't traded for Mike Trout since. I always hope he's available in free agency instead.

EDIT - This is back when injuries didn't correspond with anything that happened in game. I was playing against my friend (who was the Nationals).

Trout got injured because my jerk of a friend plunked him in the head. So I didn't even get to bat with him once beyond the time he got hit in the head and broke his leg.

That must have been a hell of a fastball if it hit him in the head and the injury he sustained was a broken leg.

The original post was incredible. I've certainly been there and have put a hole or two in my walls from throwing controllers or plastic cups or whatever object aside from glass I can find.

I haven't gotten that pissed at a game in a long time. Now, I just shake my head and laugh when these things happen. Serenity now!
