I have been playing " The Show " since 2011 with that said I have been excited for every new addition since including this years version which I love. I play RTTS exclusive and really have no interest in any other part of the game which might worthwhile but no interest.For some reason after the first three weeks of playing I find myself kind getting bored with the whole baseball thing all together. I have been taking a break hoping that will peak my interest again after a while. I play some other games War Thunder which I love and waiting for PGA Golf and Star Wars Battle Front to come out. Anyone else having " The Show " blues as I call em ??

I don't play RTTS anymore...would be kinda cool if they made a Sugar/Bull Durham type story mode...Maybe a lot wouldn't liek that but it'd add a little substance..
There could be different presentation and interaction amongst your teammates...right now I'm playing RTTS but I don't feel like I'm part of the team. Just kind of playing...Part of baseball is the clubhouse culture...fun with the guys etc...
Anyway just my .02

Yes...seems the more I play the similar the game is from previous versions. The lack of stats and stat overlays are killing the game for me.Comment

Yeah, unfortunately RttS is the mode that got the least amount of attention this year. I can see that getting repetitive if it's the only mode you play. Can't say that I have, personally. I work crazy hours during the week though, so I don't really get to play much, that could contribute to keeping it fresh for me. I did get a little burned out last year but I've discovered this year, on my free weekends, a few glasses of Jameson and diet coke add a significant amount of entertainment value to the game.Comment

I play RTTS most of the time as well and I agree it has gotten stale. This mode needs a big time injection of life to make you feel more connected. You move way to fast through the minors and for AA and AAA it shouldn't be so easy to run through and get to the majors. There need to be more statistics and a Baseball America connection would be nice. Do I make my team's Top 30 or the overall Top 100. News stories on all the prospects. Endorsement deals once you reach the majors and story lines.Comment

if RTTS is get betting boring, and it is to easy for you challenge yourself . I have been playing RTTS for as long as I can remember, and every year, I get a little better or figure out something, so I tweak.
My new challenge this year, is playing one guy from scratch on legend. I seeing how well I can do if i make it to the majors. The other is I took OSFM Roster, deleted Kris Bryant, And Started my guy as a 22 year old Kris Bryant, and am putting everything into power my first year, and recreating his career. And I won't make any of his stats go higher than the actual stats the game has given him (just bank the extra training points)
That's how I keep the game interesting, I don't chase records, or work to be a hall of famer, I just try to find new ways of challenging myself, or recreating guys and there careers.Comment

I too play RTTS the majority of the time and have to agree with you that after a few weeks of having the game, it has gotten a little stale. Not because its a bad game. On the contrary, its a superb game and I thoroughly enjoy it but the RTTS mode itself hasn't really changed the past few years and most of it is the same. I do enjoy having the Y2Y saves, as I dont have to start all the way over.
I wish they would add more stat overlays like you suggested and may be make it like NBA 2K's my player mode. However, I think we should have more generic announcers on the game. Sure, lets have the main crew on the game but only use them for like Sunday Night and Wednesday night baseball games and then playoff games. Then other games have just generic announcers on the game. They don't even have to be people that announce games now, but just a few up and coming radio guys to do the play by play. I wouldn't think it would cost that much to bring in non high profile names to call the play by play. That just a thought.Comment

I mostly get bored because of the music and presentation being repetitive from year-to-year. The gameplay is actually what keeps me coming back.
I'll admit that RTTS could certainly use some new dynamics to it, because it gets repetitive fast. But franchise to me is fun to see the stats progress for my players over the course of the season. I just wish that the game did a better job of showing me those stats and keeping them.
What I hope for in moving forward is new presentation. Different intros and outros to the broadcast presentation. Every game wraps-ups the same way and I hate skipping over things, but I pretty much can skip the intro to every game in franchise, as well. The announcing bothers many, but it is what it is to me. What would breathe the most life into this game is a change in the way the game is shown as a whole.
Other little things that would make the game seem fresh to me; more uniform options, dynamic weather with rain delays so that I have to strategize more with my pitching staff, a new uniform template so that not all uniforms are worn in the same manner, more/different training options in RTTS, and perhaps more front-office options for franchise again.
And boy do I miss SotS!Comment

Came up with a new custom batting camera. Made the game seem new.
Other than that, gameplay is really good this year. Best it's ever been. That's enough for me, but I've also been playing sparingly the last few years.
I will agree the game's modes need more attention. I'd really like to see focus on General Managing the next couple of years.Comment
