Is it just me?

MLB 14 was smooth with little to no jaggies. In MLB 15 you can see jaggie lines on the outfield walls and players. The color also seems to be way too saturated. Player's skins have almost a red tint to them and I haven't changed my settings from 14.

My guess for why this game isn't as smooth is because they wanted this game to run on a constant 60fps and to do that they needed to remove the anti aliasing.

Yes it's just you.... And perhaps your tv.

I play on 2 different sets, 1 is a 70" plasma tv and the other a top if the line 144hz benq monitor. While there are some times when the sun seems a bit too bright more often then not the game looks a plays as smooth as silk.

I have read this same complaint about the frame rate and so on, None of it makes any sense, I dare anyone to put The Show 14' in, play a couple innings then put The Show 15' in and see the difference, The frame rate is way better in 15', There seems to be more jagged lines in 15' but i dont think frame rate causes jaggs. The cutscenes in 14' were atrocious, 15' very smooth, Am i way off? Why are some people seeing this and others seeing the complete opposite? Strange for sure!

He wasn't saying frame rate causes jaggies, but rather he was wondering if to up the frame rate they did away with anti aliasing and if so that would reveal more jaggies.

At first I thought the frame rate was way better too, but after awhile the same cutscene issues are prevalent. It still seems like it's a marginal improvement over 14, but not way better. It's hard thing to quantify on consoles.

But yeah, on the whole I'd say 15 looks 200% better than 14. Definitely not worse.

I notice the jaggies also. Especially on the zoom outs of the park the outfield walls and such. The game does look better than 14' but I also see during cut scenes there is a noticeable drop in FPS. Like most of all console games they don't use true Anti-Aliasing or maybe some use FXAA or something similiar which just blur the image to hide the aliasing. Next time you play pay attention to the outside of the screen with the aliasing and the inside which blurs it, you will see what he is talking about.

I wouldn't say that. I too notice the jaggies, especially at Wrigley. Plus the holes in the sleeves and fans who lose their hair after you select a pitch (It's a graphical glitch), 14 in some ways did look better than 15.

I wouldn't go as far as saying it looks worse. I have a properly calibrated TV and 14 was definitely washed out in terms of color. This year color has been improved and the graphics is on par with some of the best looking games currently out. That said, saturation does seem to be too high at times, which causes the skin tone of some players to look a bit off. Frame-rate issues still linger as well and there are graphical glitches like losing detail after selecting a pitch, though the latter is more apparent in certain ballparks (example: try PNC on a partly cloudy day, 1PM start time with Gerrit Cole as the pitcher and watch the loss of detail in his hair).

I think MLB 15 looks far better than MLB 14.

I play on a Vizio 120 Hz and the game looks great. Could be the tv your using.

Overall, I'd say the game looks better. The lighting is superb this year. I really like how they made the sun move according to the time of year.
