Who is your surprise star?
I'm playing my off-line franchise with the Colorado Rockies. I expected one of my stars like Morneau or Tulo to be leading the charge thus far. To my surprise 20 games into the season Corey Dickerson is leading the charge and also tied for the lead leading homeruns with 7. Totally wasn't expecting that. Anyone else have a surprise star on their team thus far?

Re: Who is your surprise star?
Yangervis Solarte is my starting shortstop in my fantasy drafted franchise. He's leading the NL in batting average (.330) and we're right around the all star break. I've went 0-4 with him maybe twice in the games I've played.Comment

Re: Who is your surprise star?
I just wrapped up my 2014 season... My surprise star was definitely Juan Lagares. He went on a ridiculous tear in April, May and June, and was batting around .300 and had about 25 home runs well before the All-Star break... He even had a couple games with 3 home runs each. His insane offense carried my team through the first half, and he was a big part of why I finished in 1st place in my division, with 99 wins.
He finished the year with 32 home runs, and batting .249... but overall that was way more slugging than I expected... and more than enough for me.Last edited by Bobhead; 05-17-2015, 08:50 PM.Comment

Re: Who is your surprise star?
Juan Pierre.
I started my fantasy Cubs franchise in 2014 and carried over to MLB 15. Juan Pierre is no longer in the game so when he was genericized I changed his name back to keep track of him.
He's a 64 now but tearing it up as a leadoff hitter. He's batting over .300 when most of my guys are not hitting their potential. I don't sim so it's all me at the plate, but he's still producing for me.Comment

Re: Who is your surprise star?
Javier Baez.
End of June and he's hitting .290 18 HR 41 RBI's and 15 stolen bases, OPS well over 1.000. And he's only struck out about 30 times.
What I like about Baez in the game he hits for power everywhere more than most hitters. He's an extra bases machine hitting to right center, pretty sure he leads the league in triples too.
In that lineup and this guy is a serious MVP candidate, CPU got problems.Comment

Re: Who is your surprise star?
I still have G-Money Gerald Laird as my catcher and he's doing pretty damn good. And he better continue, because as soon as he slips, Bethancourt becomes my everyday starter & Laird is gone. After all he is 35 years old. He's hitting right at .300
He still doesn't hit homers but his hits always seem to come when there are ducks on the pond.T-BONE.

Re: Who is your surprise star?
Nick Castellanos is hitting a cool .343 right now (50 games or so). Low power numbers, but still, good for 3rd in the AL.Comment
