    Pat Venditte

So the Oakland A's just called up Ambidextrous Pitcher Pat Venditte. Is this even possible for MLB The Show to put him in the game as ambidextrous?

Don't think it's an option. Let's see what they do in next year's game..

One thing is you could change his throwing hand every now and then so he would pitch lefty one game and right another..

This would defeat the purpose of switching sides for matchups though.

Hope this is something that they can quick patch.

It would definitely be cool if they had it in the game. Seems difficult though.

Quick patch? A new process that allows a pitcher to switch between left and right handed? Yeah... nothing about that would be quick.

It's definitely possible to do in a Video game. Because there was a game on the ps2 that allowed you to switch sides of the plate when at bat. All you had to do was press Triangle.

Man, I'd love for Switch-Pitching to become a thing in video games.

It'd be great to be able to do that with my RTTS pitcher, especially.

I have doubts it'll be in this year. Wonder if Venditte will be put in the game as a lefty or righty...

Better as a lefty than a righty so should be left to me.

He does and each player/batter can switch one time during the at bat.

It's actually in the rulebook and is called the Pat Venditte rule, if I'm not mistaken.

I really don't care if it's in the game. He is one of a kind and I don't think it's worth the resources.

Even as an A's fan I agree 100%.

That's right, I forgot. It was the MLB Slugfest series.

You could switch hit with anybody. Albert Pujols, Jim Edmonds, Carlos Beltran, it didn't matter. What's funny is that switch hitters in that game used to wear a shinguard on each ankle for this purpose.
