thats what Im wondering...the game just isnt tuned to be similar to real life rates. f we can tune it with sliders thats great, if not..we will continue to see the difference.

I've been through the first 10 pages and seriously nobody's asked P.A.D. what his team's BA w/ RISP is???

It's one of the stats this game actually tracks.

And there's historical data that can be referenced in that.

      P.A.D., what's your team's BA w/ RISP?

If it didn't disprove his point I'm pretty sure he would have already shared that with us, that's why I didn't bother asking at least.

Unless he is playing every game its really not worth looking at. Team BA w/RISP is really low when simming.

Right now in my franchise 20 of the 30 teams have an AVG under .230. Only 2 teams did that last year in real life. 4 have an AVG over .250. Compared to 17 last year.

Some data from a couple years ago on Bill James website, but the % scoring is still around 55% with less than 2 outs from third.

Actually the article below disagrees with the 50-55% rule from 3rd and less than 2 outs. I think the 50-55% might be for any one batter to drive them. The article which has a really nice chart to breakdown the different runner and out combinations says a team has roughly an 85% chance of scoring if a runner reaches 3rd with no outs and 65% chance if there is one out.

Do you never advance the runner? If not then I think thats just baseball.

Or I just have other life priorities that take precedence over turning on my PS4 when requested by someone I don't know to check a statistic I don't care about? It was a simple observation.

It seems to be a stat directly related to the title of the thread, though.

If you're getting a lot of line outs and pop ups, your RISP batting average would be low/too low or at least tend that way (maybe some guys "get lucky" but a lot would be struggling).

Dude, this is a thread about how you're struggling with BA in RISP situations. How could you start this thread and not share the stat in the OP and also not care about it?

If that's the case then this is a troll thread, plain and simple. The Impressions thread would have sufficed but shame on me for thinking this was a subject of substance. And, knowing your post history, I sort of feel foolish for thinking otherwise.

Except the thread has like 80 replies with others agreeing, so clearly it's not just a nonsense thread.

It's not hard, PAD. The game tracks the stat. What's your BA with RISP?

No problem with BA w/RISP here. Or rubberbanding for that matter. It's all about strategy/approach. Look at the contact I was making in the 1st inning (CPU too, for that matter), but I was able to adjust.

I play on HOF difficulty across the board, BTW...
