What are some 'little things' you would like to see in The Show/

Those small things we all appreciate in the game which show attention to detail... For example a fielder swiping the ball while it is in foul territory so it doesn't roll back fair are some of my favorite things. Here are a few things I'd love to see:

- Foul balls that hit off the batters foot or hit the catcher/umpire. I don't keep count but I definitely see this happen every game in real life. I'd say at least 3-4 times a game. I think it's common enough that it would be cool to see it in The Show, along with an animation of the batter 'walking it off' after being hit if he doesn't have a leg guard on.

- Batters thinking a close pitch on a 3 ball count is ball four and prematurely run to first base. You see this happen fairly often in real life. Would be a nice animation to see every once in awhile on those especially close to the black 3 ball strikes.

I'm not sure I've seen either of those things in 15 yet (played 6 games in my Braves franchise), but I know I've seen them in previous iterations of the Show. You are at least right though in saying they should happen at a higher frequency than they appear now.

I want to see in tight games in the late innings...panning camera shots of the dugout's, players spitting seeds, managers with intense looks etc. We are getting some of that with the new split screen shot's of the hitter/pitcher dual and occasionally dugout shots of the manager.

But I want dynamic shots in post season play where every pitch is a nail biting moment in a one run game etc.

I happen to think the presentation is very strong. But it can only keep evolving to an even higher level of realism on this new console.

Button down style jersey's for players would be sweet. Players taking off their batting gear, while talking to the first base coach once reaching first would be another small, but great addition. Some very rare crazy plays would be awesome too. Like someone grounding the baseball, and it getting stuck in their glove or something. Just small ingenious things that'll make you pop on here and go "Did anyone else see this? Pretty sweet."

Smarter pitchers, swear I have games where I hit the pitcher and the baseball bounces off him like two, or three, times a game. Show some dodging animations or something. Also, when a fielder makes an incredible play show a smiling animation or something. Just some little things.

Both of these are already in the game.

I've seriously never seen either one, but I am on PS3 maybe that's why. Do foul balls hit off batters or just hit the ump/catcher? Like the other guy said it's important to occur at a realistic rate too.

Good ideas. To add what about different walk-off celebrations under the right circumstances. At the end of the season while in contention a nice pie to the face. Maybe give some players a playfulness trait, like if Justin Turner is on a team that meets the criteria of having a walk-off in a big game, or a team goes on an extended streak and gets a walk-off, show him pieing the hero!

It's all about the next-gen pie physics. Gotta push the PS4 to its limits.

I don't see the CPU do this, maybe I don't pay enough attention or maybe it happens on PS4 and not PS3 but what about runners tagging up faking like they are taking off for 3rd base to try and draw a throw.

I'd like to see this a little more, and maybe an injury from it every now and then. Some players will take a day or two off after taking a foul ball to their instep because of the swelling.

I don't know what a realistic rate is, but I nailed two foul balls off of Woody Keller in the 4th inning of my last game. Got more calls on the edges of the strike zone after that

It's all about the next-gen pie physics.

I would also like to see an upgrade in the stadium environment since we are talking "little things" and not things that need major work (like stats, cpu ai in roster management, retractable roofs, milb stadiums, draft classes, new player models, editable coaches, beefier franchise mode..). As for the stadium environment upgrades, it would be nice to see a first pitch thrown out or have the camera hone in on an attractive female and her friends in the stands or to a group of kids attending their first game. If you watch a baseball broadcast, there are these lull moments where we see fans in the stands up close (and not just all the dance moves in between innings with a cardboard sign like we have already). We could also expand to seeing things on the concourse; maybe fans getting in the pro shop (which is a natural lead-in to a deeper franchise sales/merch management system), or fans coming back to their seats with a plate of nachos, or fans at the ticket booth outside.

I would also LOVE to see something as simple as fans wearing jerseys of actual players on their team (rather than Player 0) and there are a number of ways this could be conceived, whether by overall rating or highest salary.

Finally, just cleaning up some of the fan models would add a lot. There are a couple of fan models that always seem to be bald-headed females sitting behind home plate. Just painting a little extra hair on would help. And of course the noncommittal do I want to go up? or do I want to go down? when the fans seem to just go in circles around the railing especially right behind home plate where you see it the most.

The game is already pretty solid, but there are a lot of areas that can still be improved upon.

There are definetly some more gameplay related upgrades that would be nice, but I'm gonna focus on some more minor things:

1. Expand licensed equipment. New Balance cleats are quite popular in real life and aren't in the game (someone correct me if I'm wrong..... I have PS3 so I've only seen YouTube video of the ps4 version). Also would love to see licensed sunglasses, elbow guards and shin guards.

2. Holiday/all star game jerseys. It would be cool to see the custom jerseys for July 4 and Memorial Day in the game. They already do Mother's Day and Jackie Robinson day, so I don't think I would be too hard. I'd also like to see players wear jerseys from their own team I the ASG instead of the ones they wear for the HRD.

3. The one is kind of unrealistic, but I'd like to see alternate announcers, and maybe be able to choose which set you want for each game...or maybe bring in Buck, Harold Reynolds, and Tom Verducci for October.

I'd like to see realistic body types. The game doesn't represent the middle ground between skinny players and really fat players well.

I'd also like to see more variety in how uniforms fit the player models. Every uniform kind of fits the same, but when you watch games there's all kinds of variety in how closely tops and bottoms fit different players.

I would love to see special July 4th and Memorial Day jerseys. As for the ASG, while I would love individual jerseys as well, the devs have already stated they cannot do it due to bring the framerate down significantly.
