I was referring to my personal in game experience. Also, I made that point because the Trop is still power friendly. AL East parks are all long ball magnets.

This is what I see every year on this game. I recently raised power up to 6 for human and cpu. Like what I've seen so far. Here's the stat I added up...

In 53 games I have only hit 43 homeruns with the Pirates. I have simmed 20 games and hit 23 in those games. Sounds good to me. However in the 33 games played I've only hit 20 homeruns which is a very low rate imo. After another 50 games I'm going to check again and see if it's better.

I'm using 7 for user on HoF and default (I think?) for AI. The AI numbers are perfect. I'm starting to finally see more user HRs, and the MLB average is right about .8 HRs per game per team.

OK so I will give exacts on my franchise I am through 16 games, I don't remember my play:sim ratio though. But I have played 3 games at Baltimore to start the season, then 6 games at home (fenway), then 3 in Yankee stadium and just finished a series in Chicago against the White Sox. And I have hit 19 HR's so far. My leaders are Ramirez 6, Ortiz 4 and Sandoval and Pedroia 2 each. Ramirez is tied for 2nd in the MLB with Austin Jackson behind Mesoraco (Reds) who has 7.

I was using Nomo's but I think I slideritis that one too.
            I use default sliders.

I also use default SCEA rosters - first live roster update after opening day.

I also use very restrictive trade rules which you can find by searching my post history.

I do not use 30 team control.

Using the Braves in my manage mode franchise and if carry over saves are broken for people not using 30 team control I will not be purchasing next year's game. I've started my last franchise. I refuse to blow it up and start over.

I was using Nomo's tweaked on all-star. Like I said in a earlier post, I am going to go Default HoF and just adjust a couple minor things like Foul freq and base run speed (See post 16). Im using OSFM V2 (Ridin) rosters and I NEVER use 30 team control. As for trades, I will have to go look at your posts. I dont do trades that are unrealistic. I'll even decline a trade from the cpu if I feel they are getting ripped off. If I can, I try to make it favor the cpu a little if I can. Overall, I just try to make fair trades, and nothing that wouldnt likely happen in real life. IE: I wouldnt trade for Trout and give up weak prospects (just an exaggerated example).

Ok, well goin to start the new franchise tonight. I was going to last night, but wife wanted couples time, so.....

So going with Default HoF with a couple changes (see post 16). I am goin to include Spring Training this time. I will not make one adjustment through the entire ST, and see how it plays. I will keep you posted.

Again, I want to take a sec and thank everyone for their input on this topic.

                    Re: Does SCEA know?

I remember last year I hit like 60 team home runs just in May and June. Juan Lagares was leading the league with approx 15 HR at the end of June. Crazy right? I could have started questioning things, since the real-life Mets would only dream of such a performance.

Without ever re-adjusting sliders, the problem fixed itself. Juan Lagares went 5 weeks without hitting another HR, and most of my offense went cold all at once. I finished the year in the middle of the pack in terms of HRs, with no real stand-out numbers offensively.

Moral of the story: just keep playing! Weird things happen. That's how baseball goes.

Well, played game 1 of ST with the default HoF (and the minor adjustments). It was awesome! I lost 0 - 7. 6 hits for me and 11 for them. NOT 1 HR!!!! At best, there was 2 doubles for me and 1 for the cpu. It was a great small ball game. I wasnt going to say anything until I got through ST, but was so excited, I had to share. This forum is the best!!!

I'm not sure how you play the game but in manage mode difficulty doesn't matter.

Oh I wasnt sure if it did or didnt. I was just putting it out there. I have a seperate User profile for MoM (well all modes I play, have there own profile) it is set at All-Star. Ive heard the difficulties dont make a difference, idk how true that is or not. I dont have a good sample size to say yes or no. But I will take your word for it, as its only my 2nd year with The Show.

Just to update, through 15 games there has been 7 for Indians, and 9 for opposing teams. So thats 15 games for a total of 16 home runs. Now I have seen more XBH's which has been nice, but as of recent, it is still (except first game) at least 1 HR a game. Not giving up, still fighting and playing it out and not making any changes.

A: Yes, it makes no difference. I'd like to keep answers brief, but I'll elaborate with a riddle. Notice that in Human vs. AI, the Human's difficulty depends on his own setting and the AI's difficulty depends on the difficulty setting of its opponent. In AI vs. AI, what's the difficulty of its opponent?[/url]
