Does this game take line protection into account?

I'm trying to get my lineup set for the franchise I'm starting up, and I'm thinking about hitting the pitcher eighth in order to allow Rougned Odor to hit before my leadoff hitter. Will the cpu pitch differently to him based on his position in the lineup before or after the pitcher?

Edit: I have no idea what that red thumbs down is or how I did that. Sorry about that.

In my experience, yes the cpu pitcher will pitch to guys based on who's on deck and also how they are performing, mainly in the game (not sure it takes into account season stats)

EX: I have Jon Jay hitting 8th. In a game last night, I had men on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs in the 6th. Jay was due up and Wacha was on deck who was pitching a heck of a game with 8 punchouts in 6 innings of work, allowing 2 hits, 1 unearned run. We led the game 3-1 at the time. They didn't intentionally walk Jay who was 0-2 with a K and flyout, but they pitched around him and ultimately walked him, forcing me to make a decision with Wacha.

Thank you. I figured this game would take this into account just looking at how in depth it is, but I just wanted to make sure.

I second countryboy's observations: lineup order/protection definitely matters against the CPU.
