Re: Fielding Camera's
Would it be possible to keep the behind the plate view until the ball gets past the infield and then switch to the down the line camera? Or is this a programming nightmare?
I agree with most that a left and right panning broadcast camera would be ideal.Comment

Re: Fielding Camera's
I just wish the cameras were more dynamic, or "smart," if you will. The closely zoomed cameras stay zoomed in close and there's times I cant see the fielder and/or the ball, can't see the guy I'm throwing to, the play as it unfolds on the infield, whether a fielder is backing up a base (which is relevant if I am on offense), etc...
On the other hand, the furthest-zoom cameras stay that way all the time. Makes it hard to really appreciate what's going on, and sometimes I even miss that a ball was dropped or that a home run was robbed (or not robbed).
A camera that adapted to the play by, for example, focusing on the outfield as the ball is fielded, then immediately zoomed back and towards the infield, so that I could gauge what base to throw on defense, or how aggressive to be on offense, would add incredible value to the game.Comment

Another option could be to angle the broadcast camera a little higher above the field of play. Not top down but just a slightly higher angle than what is currently there.
I feel like this could be a huge addition, surprised more aren't commenting.Comment

I would love to see this camera from the now defunct mlb 2k7 . I just love the iso camera from behind 1st base

Re: Fielding Camera's you would like to see in MLB 16
I'm saddened I didn't see this thread before.
Anything representing an actual stadium broadcast camera would do for me.
I made a video at one point explaining the no-doubter home run came (also seen in HRD mode) is about equivalent to the FOX Saturday MLB camera: it's a bit lower than most broadcast cameras, but it's definitely the closest one to an authentic camera that we've gotten so far. I suppose higher would be better.
I hope this was considered three months ago!
Old video is old, but it still applies...

One I'm looking for would basically be anything you see on TV today.
EDIT: Just went through the thread, looks like it has been asked for and responded to. I never considered the fact the ball could disappear behind walls in the corner. We aren't without some visual aid possibilities to remedy this I suppose (or you run long enough you should essentially magnetize to the ball anyway), but camera cuts could also do once they reach the corner as well. I'm only hoping it's possible!
Suggestion #2:
Allow the defensive dynamic cam to also be used while on offense.Last edited by Blzer; 11-20-2015, 12:53 AM.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Home run derby can would be perfect during gameplay if that were at all possibleComment

Re: Fielding Camera's
I wish I had seen this thread too because with Blazer, I was one of the ones consistently posting about cameras. I was in Europe on vacation when Russell posted....so here is my super delayed response. Keep in mind I mostly play auto-fielding so the fielding cams don't need to be great for manual fielding in my case. Also these are for fielding only, and batting obviously requires the classic views and then would need to pause and switch to my views:
1. Would love to see stationary upper deck cam (isometric angle view) that really shows off the ball flight/trajectory and the stadiums. One of the HR derby cams really does a great job with an upper angle and tracking the ball flight, but it also zooms in and I'd like to see the entire field. As it is now, I spend a lot of time watching the shadow of the ball, and can't see the ball flight arc.
2. Would love to see a "fan" type view. Probably upper deck again. I want to see the entire play unfold, to include not zooming in on the ball so that I can get some cool moments on high fly balls going to the wall, or close plays at bases as I'm watching all runners advance and can see the entire field. This would include sort of a real-time feel with no cut-scenes. Everything non-batting is being displayed in this view like watching a real game.Comment

I don't mind the cameras. Now a new fielding system, that would be more beneficial than two new cameras.

Re: Fielding Camera's
I'm not sure how to describe it, but what I'd like to see is a camera that allows you to tell when you're manual fielding if you must jump or dive with an infielder to make a play on the ball.
It's easy to tell with the OF when you have to do that, as you have more time than you do in the IF, but the sole reason I use auto fielding now instead of manual fielding is that I lose outs on quick infield shots that the CPU knows to jump or dive for but I can't see well/fast enough to make a similar determination.
Manual fielding was fun for the first time in a long time this year, with this exception.
IDK if a brief slow-mo sequence off the bat is appropriate, or if a different angle from the default one would make these plays a tad easier to make.Comment

Re: Fielding Camera's
An angle to show what a nice full-field view might look like. Although I think it should be higher up (2nd deck and more downward angle). I think the problem would be that although you would see the ball in flight (instead of just the shadow), it might actually be difficult to see as it gets deeper into the outfield. Not sure what the solution might be, but I play auto-fielding, so I really just want to have a camera which is like a fan-cam: full field, no cut-scenes other than replays, shows ball flight and all the fielders and action at one time with no zoom-ins.
