The use of words like broken, pathetic, and such do nothing but change the tone of the issue. You're no longer objectively pointing out that an issue exists but instead you're taking shots at the quality of the game and its development team.

    Hope that makes sense.

The explanation is that its a glitch that has been in the game since it released and will hopefully be fixed for next year's game. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think I said what I said earlier supporting P.A.D. because even though I don't like the negativity and the dev bashing, I can stomach it as long as he's posting videos and being productive. I'd rather we have negative nancys who post useful videos than not having videos posted at all. And this is coming from someone who totally disagrees with P.A.D.'s opinion of the animation system.

Anyways, getting back on track, here's a video of something that happened to me the other day. It's actually been a really long time since I've seen a bug in the animations, especially since I started Pre-Loading throws ASAP and "feathering" into outfield catches. It was also the first game in a really long time that I played in throwback jerseys. I wonder if that is just coincidence or not?

What happened in the clip was after the ball got through to my CF, I pre-loaded a throw to the plate. Once the CF picked up the ball, I realized that a play at the plate wasn't happening and changed my throw to the cutoff man in order to keep the runner on 1B from advancing. My CF goes into a super sluggish animation, and it turns out my 2B is way out of position near 1B for no good reason, allowing the runner to advance.

The fielding in the game has improved but there are still weird quirks that having me yelling at my tv:

Here on this play the game selected the wrong fielder for some strange reason. The ball was hit to the 3rd base side yet the game decides I should control the SS. Would I have gotten to that ball with the 3rd baseman? Most likely not but the fact that I wasn't given control of him and not even allowed to attempt a play is what infuriated me.

This has been my favorite glitch so far. Cost me the game though. Cano "kicked" the ball off the outfield wall and out of the park. Play didn't stop, the two runners that were on, and the batter all scored. All I could do, was sit and stare into the black abyss that is the area outside the stadium om MLBTS.

I'm sorry, I must laugh at your expense.

I really wish this happened at Tropicana, though... imagine the possibilities!

This play just costed me a game... in an online game against a human opponent.

It was a bases-loaded with no outs, tie game in the bottom half of an extra-inning. The infield was in, hoping to get a ground ball somewhere to double up at home and then first.

Fortunately, the opponent grounded to SS, and I was of course preloading a throw to the home plate without hesitation.

However, seeing that a runner is close to him, SS decided to tag the guy overriding my instruction to make a throw:

This type of thing can be frustrating! I guess there are situations where AI overriding a human decision is good, but this is definitely not one of them.

I agree that the game has some odd animation issues. That said, I wouldn't call them game breaking. One that does drive me nuts is when the you have a perfect double-play ball, and the 2nd potential out is missed because he just lofts the ball instead of throwing it. It's nuts.
