I actually am hoping they just completely ignore the ridiculous new D'Backs uniforms and just use the ones from the last year in the game. Would serve them right

Maybe it won't get fixed, but you can't take everything in the first trailer as final.

In the launch trailer for MLB 15, the turtle chest protector was still in. By the release date, it was fixed.

Lmao it's sad really, i had all the confidence in the world in the Show series for all the years on ps3, and the first year going into ps4. Would have put it over any other game.

But with each new iteration, it's just disappointment after disappointment, maybe expectations were set too high, but i think it's a fair expectation to have accurate jersey replication in a sports video game in 2016.

Regardless, i'll still buy the game day 1 because it's baseball and the series does still have by far the best gameplay out of any sports game out, but man, is it falling behind in other areas.

          MLB : Toronto Blue Jays

I'm still holding out a little hope. But I am NOT setting myself up for maor disappointment. And it will be major. I want two things in this game for this year and nothing really more is NEEDED: accurate jerseys and accurate templates. Crazy maybe but I don't think so man. It's time to do something about those couple things. I don't need 100% perfect jerseys but at least the essential design elements need to be right.

At this point for me the template thing is just too much of a bother for me to keep playing like it's not there. It takes me out of immersion every time I see it more than anything else. I know it's a small thing but it's huge in some ways. We need these iconic teams to look right on the jersey. We need all the teams with throwbacks to look right too.

I'm a Mets fan. It kills me when I see DARNAUD and DEGROM, when I should see d'ARNAUD and de GROM!

Also, and this is a little nit-picky, the orange and blue stripe on the throwbacks is way to thin. It's like 4" wide in real life.
Wow, forgot about this too. It is crazy this stuff is not done for the only baseball game out. Doesn't make any sense. And don't give me that we don't have time for crap thing. This is the THIRD game on PS4.

Tbh, I don't think jerseys are a small thing anymore. There seems to be so much emphasis on logos and jerseys nowadays, not just by video games, but by the teams and leagues themselves. Besides, when you're up to bat, the unis are much more noticeable. Not many other sports games get that close up unless it's a replay. If other games are able to do it, why not this one? I realize they have to follow the style guide, but at the same time I'd imagine there has to be some wiggle room to get smaller things correct. Or so I hope. MLB The Show has always been my favorite game, and improving uniforms would only help that cause.

My thoughts on the "style guide" is that SCEA uses it as a reference. I say that because if they followed it to a T, then the Red Sox and Yankees would have their numbers in the correct location and the Mets would have the correct lettering for player names.

                  Just saying.

MGnome is right. I'm a Pirates fan and I'm sick of using their throwback jerseys (1925, 1971, 1979) with a modern day "pirate font" that wasn't used until 2001. It was BLOCK numbers dip****s! The first and most common font in the game! How hard is that to figure out? Not to mention those classic jerseys further horrifically using the current day sleeve patch that didn't appear until 1997.

Gnome is right because it just reeks of pure laziness. If we can't have Sounds of the Show, at least fix the jerseys. It's like the (lack of) night time city lighting that finally started to appear this year. Way overdue. I was modding my own into High Heat Baseball on PC in 2003. Only 13 years ago guys. Only 13.

If this game had the modding capabilities that High Heat Had back in the day..... if only..

Going forward, we promise to have a lot more oversight into the selection and creation of uniforms in MLB The Show so that these types of inaccuracies don't happen again. Mets fans, rest assured, you will get the correct uniform sets going forward.

He was commenting on things that they had already fixed. They obviously didnt sit down and test out there "uniform schedule" for teams. They would have teams wearing white pants on the road. So they did put time into the uniforms. they just did it halfway. For a design team that points out the "little things" it baffles me how this stuff isn't right.

But then they render individual blades of grass and facial hair. Does anyone remember the stream last year where they showed Comericia Park? They used the developers camera to show that they designed rooms of buildings across the street, that you can never see because that camera is not in the game. Why not put the same time and effort into that but not details that we will actually see or notice?

Not apples to apples and your assumptions aren't based in reality. Those are two totally different teams. The stadium team doesn't work on the uniforms and vice versa.
