Set options, set up my Diamond Dynasty team and put players I pull out of my pre-order packs on the market.
While those are selling, I'll probably play a full exhibition game with all the presentation settings on, so I can see all the new features.Comment

I always go straight to edit player mode and see all the new stuff, check out how my Braves players are set up.
...then play against Walgreens and beat 'em down.

I do the same thing every year (since the 1st edition of the The Show) was released...
I will purchase the game on Day 1, check out all of the players (deliveries, stances, gear, etc...) and just let the game sit until I find a great set of rosters & sliders.
THEN, I will begin playing my Cubs Franchise - generally I don't even begin playing until May as the roster/slider testers are still tweaking away.
In all the years, I still have not completed a full franchise as I end up stopping play and beginning NBA 2K or a non-sports title, but that's perfectly ok with me..well worth the $ for my fix as The Show is the only game that is a must-buy every year for me partially due to the way they embrace the community and the DEV's actually listen. Cheers to another year!

That's real, I do similar. I will probably get it early like every year but will wait for rosters and or wait for sliders.I do the same thing every year (since the 1st edition of the The Show) was released...

This year I can't wait to see Miller Park with the roof closed .. Been there 15 times its my favorite park besides Yankee Stadium

Hoping for a Day 1 Digital release to play at midnight and not wait for download.
First thing, go through rosters, look at players/equipment and go through player's home run swings to see how awesome they look.
Look through the player cards to see ratings and all of the flashback cards that will be mine one day.
Then play my annual opening game Yankees @ Mets (Last year, first at-bat hit a home run, pretty good start)
Then as I wait for OSFM to release I play with most teams to see the stadiums and play with big star players sometimes on player lock. Design my DD logos, "Long Island Bomb Squad." Play some DD offline to get cards/tickets/missions/everything they added to DD.
Continue with my '15 RTTS's both position player and pitcher.
When OSFM drops dive into my Mets franchise. Plan on seriously playing every game in the season.
But in the meantime, ill settle for constantly refreshing OS and rewatching Twitch streams.... March 29th come faster!Comment

Same here. If the feature is as good as it was in the PS3 games, then I will be adding player music and stadium music for as many teams as possible before I dig into the meat and potatoes of the game.
Being an avid RttS player, Sound of the Show just adds such a cool dynamic and feel to taking your created player around the league.Comment

Okay, time to revise my answer.
1. Since I pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe version I will probably be opening packs first thing. I don't think I have the will-power to not open them first.
2. After that, a series of exhibition games as the Cardinals against various teams. I will control the batters on both teams to become accustomed to the fish eye camera and determine if the precision input has messed with my limited ability to use zone hitting. These games will probably take place in the classic stadiums.
3. Import last years RTTS saves. Equip my players with any new equipment that I can and play a series or two to see how much faster this mode plays with the improvements. Oh and check out what perks my player can equip (although I may choose not to use them).
4. Create my DD team, uniforms, etc and start on Conquest mode.Comment
