My #1 priority will be to examine the default SCEA MLB 16 rosters to see who made it into the game and determine who needs to be imported from a modified OSFM MLB 15 2016 roster. This applies to all 30 teams, but I am a Season mode player so I am only worried about the players who will be on each team's 40-man rosters. Once I have imported all the players I want in the game, I will start a new Season mode and attempt to emulate the in game calendar with the real world calendar.

1st: Check out the rosters.
2nd: Start my pitcher RTTS.
3rd: Start my sample franchise with the red sox. So I can get use to the game for my real chise when Knight's rosters come out.Beavers|Red Sox|Buccaneers|NBA HoopsComment

I posted in this thread before saying I was going to carry over my Rays franchise from 15 but I don't know which save file I should carry over. I have one save at the very end of the season right before free agency and one save that's ready for spring training.Comment

Re: What is the first thing you'll do after popping in MLB The Show 16?
Ok besides the obvious of transferring franchise/season files here is a rundown of release week.
1) Get my settings all squared away of how I play the game (classic pitching, directional hitting, auto fielding, manual throw, clean screen) but I want to check out the new camera options. So once the settings are in place that I enjoy the game on we are diving right into a test franchise 30 team control so we can play various match-ups, pitchers, parks and take a tour and beta test a new All-Star level slider set based on my approach to the game. I will be streaming tons of games during this as well which will be fun.
2) Ripping open my packs, and diving into DD mode as a break from slider work.
3) I think it will take me no more than maybe 25-30 games over the course of 2 weeks to get the sliders locked in. Once that happens we will resume my 3 most played files (1987 yankees yr 2, 2014 yankees yr2, 1996 Yankees replay)
4) continue rocking DD, try Conquest and Battle Royale mode
5) Then start a brand new fresh 1 team Franchise (no 30 team control for this one as I want whatever happens to happen) with a TBD team (Royals, Astros, Cubs, Pirates, Rays, Marlins and Giants are the final 7) once the OSFM Opening Day roster drops!!!
Whew....OK we are ready for MLB The Show 16!!!!Now Playing on PS5:

Re: What is the first thing you'll do after popping in MLB The Show 16?
Transfer my 15 save to 16 and try to figure out which players turned generic because of injuries and retirements. I'm hoping that doesn't happen to Yu Darvish and Zach Wheeler because they didn't pitch a game last year.Comment

I have a fantasy draft the night of release so as soon as I get home I'll probably open my packs and get my DD logo and uniforms designed with the little time I have.Comment

Re: What is the first thing you'll do after popping in MLB The Show 16?
To add onto my previous without answer without knowing what Conquest and BR was, these modes will take up a lot of my time before OSFM comes out and I can start my 2 Mets franchises (One for everygame (along with Various intriguing matchups around the MLB that day) and one to sim ahead and play with prospects/make trades/scout and draft).
Getting the digital deluxe my team should be fun to play with right away after opening all of my packs. I want to play the game more before playing a lot of BR instead of diving right into it so I don't waste 1500 stubs each time.
I feel like I'll end up restarting my Conquest map 5 times before getting a hang of it but that's why the games are only 3 innings!Comment

Re: What is the first thing you'll do after popping in MLB The Show 16?
Myself, the very first thing I'll do is go to my beloved Cardinals and create the minor league players. After that, I jump right into Spring Training of Franchise mode. Whomever is my first opponent, I'll go and create their minor league system. Then after playing a game, I'll do a team's minor leagues from the Cactus League and then the next team I play I'll do theirs. I do this up until I have created the minor leagues for all the teams, all while enjoying the Spring Training of my opening season.
So what about you? What will you do?Comment
